Itchy Little Buggers

Hola! I've had eczema my whole life, since I was a baby and I would say in the last couple years I would get this other rash. It would be random little bumps that were hard but kind of looked like a pimple. There aren't that many when I get them, but they are extremely itchy. I catch myself itching them and then the next day I'd get a couple more. When I get them, they are on my chest, abs, legs and arms. It's never gotten worse than that and they go away within days. I was just wondering if anyone has had something like that or may know what it would be. I did go to the doctor once and she told me that it could be anything and didn't answer my question...could be true I guess. But rashes usually aren't because something going right...lol.

Here is what my kids bumps are like. My diagnosed gluten daughter got some on her face and near her lips. They were not red. Just annoying and ugly if someone saw them. Then they went away. My other daughter has had bumps for 3 years on her arms. She scratched them, then they bled, scabbed, got scratched, scabs fell off on left scars. They were bumps that looked like they had fluid but nothing came out. They do not look like DH at all. The closet thing I could find was "chicken skin"- keratosis pilaris. Find some pics on it and see if it looks like yours. I really believe its caused from gluten.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
