How To Tell Old Doctor?

I have got myself into a rather complicated situation. I have my old pcp. He was really ignoring my issues/symptoms and after a converstion with him this past winter, I decieded to see out an alternative doc (also a physician). The second doc doesn't do primary care. The second physician changed a bunch of my meds, diag the ceilac etc. I would switch to him in a heartbeat if he did primary care. So, I am now in the position that I have to go back to primary doc and see him. I'm not sure how to tell him all of this. The last appt I had with him, I told him how exhausted I was and he told me it was because of my kids and asked if I was depressed. I'm not sure how to go into him and say, btw I fiuged out what it was by going to another doc and guess what.... I still need him as pcp but my trust level is way way down at this point.

Thoughts?

If you like this guy but he was clueless about celiac, well he isn't alone as far as doctors go. You should have the physician that diagnosed you send copies of your records and the diagnosis. Second opinions on a case should be welcomed by any doctor but if yours balks then you do need to find another.

I'm in canada and its REALLY difficult to find a pcp doctor that is taking patients let alone one you like.

Sending the documents is a great idea!

One good thing about celiac is we don't really need the doctors for the healing process once we are finally diagnosed. Sometimes what makes a believer out of nay-saying doctors is the fact that after we have healed our 'problems' are gone. If you can't get your doctor on board just relax and continue your healing.

It can take longer than 6 months for antibodies to drop to the normal range,  My DGP IgA took a few years as I got stricter and stricter about being gluten free  But having symptoms again could also mean you’re getting some gluten in your diet.

Hi, I just had my 6 month check after being diagnosed Celiac 6 months ago.  All of my panel numbers were normal except: Deamidated Gliadin Abs, IgA (It is 31 with high being over 30)  I have also been having symptoms again. Am I not actually being as careful as I think I am or does it take longer than 6 months for this particular test to come back down?  I can't get ahold of my doctor this week as she is out.     Thank you!

That is very strange, because it looks to me like two very different test results, but for the same test! It's definitely time to contact your doctor for clarity on this.

Scott, thank you SO MUCH for this!! She has been through so much in the last three years as we've tried to track down answers. This language will definitely help me help her to reframe.
