Marinades?

Ok, so my hubs is ADDICTED to those soy based marinades for our steaks. So I got online a minute ago to check a few of them out...see if there are ANY that are gluten free. I came upon "Moore's Marinade" and "Allegro Marinade" BOTH of whom CLAIM to be gluten free. So when I read their list of ingredients, BAM...first ingredient on BOTH of them "Soy sauce."

If they CLAIM to be gluten free...are they REALLY??? Are they held to ANY real standard where that's concerned?

(I'd REALLY like to use the Allegro...they sell it at Sams Club and I only have to buy it like once a YEAR! Please be gluten free, please be gluten free.....!)

Make your own and use San J - Wheat free Tamari, or La Choy soy sauce. Both are gluten free.

Yea, I suppose I could do that....I've got some La Choy.....but ugh, steak nite is the HUBBY'S nite! I don't WANNNNNA have to cook on steak nite!

Bah, don't listen to me, I'm just cryin and moaning!

I suppose that once you make a big batch, it'll keep just like the other stuff.....soy sauce must have a shelf life of about 243250938459 years! I'd bet that if I made a big batch, it would keep in the fridge. :)

I use Bragg's Liquid Aminos. Tastes just like soy sauce and its gluten-free.

I know post was started awhile ago but I found some info on the allegro marinade. It is my husbands favorite marinade for london broil. I went to their website and if you click on the individual products it lists the ingredients and at the end of all the marinades it says gluten free. The original bbq and spicey bbq sauce does not list gluten free though. I can't wait to have a london broil next weekend!! :D

I've used the Gluten Free Allegro with no problems. I hope the label isn't lying to me!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
