I'm very new to the gluten-free game and am struggling with finding the right products. Is there anyone from the area?

Hi,

I am sort of in the area. I live in DC on Crapitol Hill. I have been gluten-free since Thanksgiving of last year. There are some groups that have local chapters in the area, although I haven't hooked up with them myself as yet. There is a yahoo group called Sillyaks that has people around here, and the CSA (Celiac Sprue Association) has a lookup page for their local chapters.

CS Chapter lookups

I think there are several members on this board from the area also.

Welcome to the gluten-free lifestyle and feel free to ask questions. There is an area for pre-diagnoisis issues that might help you as many questions are answered there already. I am not on the forum every day but many others are and can help.

Howdy!

We are in Northern VA...let me know if we can help! We are major budget people so I have my lists of where I get things...Trader Joes, Wegmans, Whole Foods are good options...(Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned) is also great!

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
