Theyll Let Me Get Re-tested...right?

Will they allow me to get tested for Celiac Disease even if Ive already been tested twice?

As I mentioned in my other threads, I was 90% gluten free for a few months before both of the previous tests for Celiac Disease. Nobody told me that I had to eat additional gluten before the tests for 2-6 weeks. I hadnt eaten any before the 1st test, and only for 2 weeks before the 2nd test.

What Im worried about is if my doctor will allow it?

And will our insurance allow it?

Does anybody know? thanks.

Do you need a diagnosis for any reason? If you've been on the diet and feel it's working for you why go back for a diagnosis you may not even get?

Well its been settled now that I am getting tested again at the end of this month. Im seeing a GI for a possible Endoscopy and then Im asking to get the blood tests done again because they should come back correct now. Whether that be positive or negative. Either way after all this is done I should be going gluten free again.

I figure I might as well get the test done because Ive been eating at least some gluten daily for the past 8 months maybe. Also over a week ago I started adding +4 pieces of bread daily. By the end of the month I would have been doing that for about 30 days which is good. Ive definitely noticed that my symptoms have gotten worse since adding more gluten. Seems like this could finally be my answer after at least 6 years, if not more. And Im only 18 years old now. I wanted the diagnosis because then I will know for sure and it will be more official to me. I will have proof of it.

Thanks @Beverage for checking in!  I haven't changed the dogs' food yet.  I'm still working through some of the other issues that I need to remedy (transitioning to an anti-inflammatory diet, being sure to get only gluten-free certified items, and buying some new cookware for my kitchen).  Somewhere after that, I have on my list to try out the dogs on a new dog food, but I haven't gotten there yet.  In the meantime, though, I can definitely see that some of my worst days seem to follow when there's a possibility of gluten cross-contamination (I'm still working to cut waaay down on these instances) OR when I eat anything with dairy/ milk protein in it.  So I think I need to really get a better handle on my day-to-day eating habits to reduce all gluten cross-contamination into my food and also any dairy intake, and then at that point, I think I'll start moving over to the dog food thing.

Sounds like fun, and I was in Germany a few years ago so you might find these articles helpful:

I don't think you have the URL/site address correct, as there is nothing at that site.

Hello All I am traveling to Germany in October and will be in Berlin, Rothenburg ODT , Salzburg, Fussen and Munich.  I am also driving the northern part of the romantic road with stops in some of the smaller towns along the way.  I would really appreciate any recommendations for gluten-free friendly places, restaurants and any gluten-free beer gardens.  Thanks in advance, Laura
