Testing To Determine If Daughter Will Develop Celiac?

I have a host of digestive issues including Celiac, lactose intolerance, and casein intolerance.

I know how highly genetic all these issues are considering my dad is lactose intolerant and my mom has undiagnosed GI issues and rheumatic fever.

ANYWAY, is there any kind of testing that can determine how likely my 5 year old is to developing any of these GI issues?

I really don't want to wait until she shows symptoms and then deal with it. Especially since Celiac is an autoimmune disease and there is so much potential for damage.

From reading the boards I have found out that there is genetic testing that can be done for your family members, including your 5 year old daughter. Enterolab does it, and I am sure the doc. who diagnosed your Celiac would gladly do it as well. I am certainly no expert, but from what I read they are looking at the DQ genes and different combinations of them. The more senior members on the forum will most likely give you all of the info.
