Some people with casein intolerance have said they are able to eat pasteurized egg products such as Better N Eggs and Egg Beaters.

Before I test out that theory myself, has anyone else had that experience? are you able to tolerate the pasteurized egg products? and also, why?

thanks so much!

Just curious, I am casein/dairy intolerant and can eat all eggs. Eggs are not dairy and do not contain casein. That said some people are allergic to eggs as a separate category. I don't eat the egg beater ect. so not sure if casein is added to them??

I had the same thought  My son is really sensitive to casein, but he has no problem with eggs.

I guess I was misinformed.......someone told me that casein was the protein in eggs.

Great. looks like I'm intolerant to both casein and eggs.

This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):

Wheat flour is fortified with vitamins in the U.S. as a part of USDA policy. Gluten free facsimile products are not fortified. There is no government mandate for such. When you remove wheat flour by going gluten free, you may be removing a significant source of vitamins.

Okay.  That doesn't answer the question, but thanks anyway.
