Yummy, Rose's is so good!! I live close so I actually go once a week, and am going tomorrow! Everyone there is super helpful and friendly! They have a cafe for lunch and a children's play area. I have also seen families come in at night for special pizza nights.

My first visit there was so overwhelming because there is so much, like any other bakery, but this stuff if ALL gluten-free!! I have tried the eclairs, lemon bars, biscotti, cupcakes, oatmeal cookies, snicerdoodles, granola and third sprouted and millet sandwich breads. They also have cakes, pies, quiches. Tomorrow I am going to stock up on some French rolls and dessert goodies!!

Also wanted to add, my husband who does not have celiac loved all the stuff from here even more than regular bakeries!

Thank you, both of you! I live close to them, too (I'm in the same town as FoodieGurl) and I didn't know about them. I will definitely make a trip down there soon. I'm going to call them first and ask some questions. I can't tolerate legumes and I know a lot of gluten-free baking is done with bean flours.

I was there today for lunch, and it was so yummy!!

I had a grilled veggie sandwich on sprouted grain bread with feta and a tapenade spread, and it was delicious, and the bread tasted better than any bread. Before, I would only eat the insides of my sandwich and toss the bread, but this I are it all up!!

For my daughter, who is not gluten-free, had a grilled cheese and a cookie, and I tasted her grilled cheese, and yummy!!

They also had other items on their menu that sounded delicious...roasted beet salad, quiche, roasted tomato soup, pizza.

To bring home, I got a chocolate cheesecake brownie, snickerdoodle, carrot cake muffin and biscotti. It is just impossible not to go in there and come out with a bag of goodies to bring home.

ps - and no, I do not work for them - LOL, i just think they are great!!

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
