Hi Everyone,

For anyone who does Facebook, I started a "Parents of Children with Celiac Disease" group. I use Facebook often and thought it might be another route to giving each other support.

If interested, type in the above group name into the search and you'll come across it. I made it a "closed group" so you first have to request to be a member, much like the requesting a friend function.

Thanks,

AM

This will be very helpful!

But If anyone knows of a regular Celiac group(one not of parents) that would be a great deal of help!

Wait. Update. Type in Celiac in the search and there's Celiac Awareness, Celiac Disease, etc. Nevermind!

There are a number of gluten and/or celiac related groups on FB.

Here are links to a few of them.

I am not endorsing any of these, I just know they exist because one of my FB friends is a member of all of them.

Thanks, everyone. There wasn't a FB group specifically for parents of Celiac children, so I wanted to start one. As a parent of a newly diagnosed toddler and living in an area where there is currently no support group for parents, I really need to connect with other parents dealing with similar issues.

Have a great day!

I just put in a request to join. :D

You would think any business would see the wisdom of honoring a $50 gift certificate on the basis of customer satisfaction alone, apart from any questions about software glitches.

So there was no physical, plastic card involved, correct?

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?
