Bionaturae Organic Gluten Free Pasta

I recently saw this at our local health food store and decided to try it. I have tried Tinkyada, Deboyles, and Ancient Harvest and have not been too impressed, so I was not going to get my hopes up on this one. Well I cooked some tonight and it was really good the best I have tried yet. The only suggestion I have is to cut the amount of salt it calls for in half at least or it will be too salty. Of course some people may like that. Unfortunately for all of you that are soy intolerant it does have soy in it. Here is the link: Open Original Shared Link

I swear I've seen this at Hy-Vee (midwest grocery chain) before. Next time I go grocery shopping, I'll double check. Thanks for the tip

Many regular stores carry Bionaturae products, but not the gluten-free. I liked Bionaturae gluten-free the first few times I tried it, but then must have run into a couple of bad batches. Switched to Tinkyada and never went back.

This is by far my favorite of all the gluten-free pastas I have tried, I regularly have at least a couple bags of the penne and spaghetti in my house.

It works great whether you want to make a baked pasta, regular red sauce, or maybe even some butter/cheese type deal. I have just recently been eating the spaghetti more, and I actually am starting to like that even more than the penne which is great. First "normal" tasting pasta (in my opinion) yet, I really don't like the Tinkayda for some reason, some wierd taste to it that I can never get past.

Also, if anyone ever makes baked mac and cheese, they do have elbow macorini (I've only found this at one store) but the penne actually works REALLY well with making baked mac and cheese, the cheeses melts right into the lines in the pene and into the tubes themselves and just comes out delicious. Just a reccomendation :-)

I love bionaturae. It's pretty much the only kind of pasta I buy now.

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

      Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
