I thought this would be fun... I love trying new recipes and I thought that this would be a good way to share and find new recipes! This recipe is one of my favorites... It is so good! It would be great for those of you that miss chinese food. I kind of modified it a lot to suit my tastes and I don't usually measue veggies I just pile them in! I'll call it:

Chinese Stirfry

2-3 tablespoons olive oil

2-3 cups of white rice

You can add cooked bite size chicken or beef to this if you're feeling adventurous

Veggies

1 medium Nappa cabbage, cut up into bite size pieces

1 large red pepper (or 2 small), cut up into very small portions

5-7 green onions (depending on how much you like them), sliced thin

2 cups chinese bean sprouts

1 small can water chestnuts

Sauce you can half the ingredients if you don't like lots of sauce

2 cups water (depending on how much sauce you like)

2 McCormick all-vegetable Bouillon (vegetable, chicken, or beef)

2 tablespoons of VH soy sauce

2 tablespoons of corn starch (add more if you want it thicker)

2 tablespoons white sugar

2 tablespoons white wine (optional, just adds flavour)

You will need a large stir fry pan, skillet, or pot.

- Cook rice while preparing stirfry

- Place olive oil in pot and cook red pepper for about 5 mintues over medium heat.

- Place nappa in with oil and pepper and cook 5 mintues over medium heat. Be careful it doesn't burn.

- Add the rest of veggies and all the ingredients for the sauce, add the liquids first and then the dry ingredients.

- cover and cook on low heat for about 15 minutes or until all veggies are done. stir often to avoid buring.

Serve Over Rice and Enjoy! :D

Mine is nothing fancy......Just a little spagettie and meatballs.

I use gluten-free bread crumbs and an egg mixed with some chopmeat

Throw on the stove some tinkyada noodles

Also I cook the meatballs in the sauce (Ragu one of my favorites)

:D And ENJOY!

medaka I am def. going to have to try yours it sounds so yummy!!! :D

I do stir fries all the time, and vary the vegetables depending on what meat I'm using, what we had the night before, what I'm in the mood for, and what's in the house.

The vegetables are usually some combination of carrots, baby broccoli, sweet peppers, onions, bean sprouts, and sugar peas, since those are the ones my husband likes. :-) Of course, the way the vegetables and meat are cut also varies (since different ways of cutting it gives a different texture and taste.

The spicing varies as well, but is usually some combination of red pepper flakes (sauteed in the canola oil the food will be cooked in first, of course :-) ), chili paste or chili sauce, soy sauce (or Braggs), ginger, and garlic.

The meat is usually either chicken (breast or thighs, depending on the flavor we're going for), salmon, or pork.

You can get a number of different flavor combinations out of that style of cooking from a pretty small base set of ingredients. Of course, you expand the possibilities when you consider how you serve it: on it's own (with lots of veggies), over rice, with gluten-free pasta, with millet, with a salad, etc.

Thanks for you replies!

I'll post another one...

- 1 cup cooked chicken/turkey/fish

- 2 tablespoons (add more if necessary) Miracle Whip Mayonnaise (Kraft will clearly indicate gluten)

- 1/2 cup chopped celery

- dash of pepper (McCormick will clearly indicate gluten)

- You favorite gluten-free bread (Try Kinnikinick Italian white bread)

- Shredded Cheddar cheese (for those of you that can have dairy products)

Mix meat, celery, miracle whip, and pepper in a bowl. Toast bread in a gluten-free toater. Place mixture on toast and spinkle chedder cheese on top! Enjoy.

Hey...

Does anyone have any favorite yummy gluten-free curry recipes? I make curry from scratch and it is just OK... so I was wondering if there are any really good recipes out there? I like Korma and Madras.

I usually make this soup over the weekends and freeze the remaining soup. :D

Coconut and lentil soup

100g red split lentils

570 ml organic coconut milk

Salt and peper

300ml home made chicken stock

1 green chopped capsicum

1 red chopped capsicum

I have a large group of ladies I swap recipes with and I got the following two recipes recently and they are really yummy.

Chicken soup :D

1 chicken skinned and cut into pieces

4 chopped onions

A bunch of Italian parsley chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

3 parsnips peeled and chopped into 1cm pieces

1 turnip peeled and chopped into blocks

18 carrots peeled and chopped into 1cm pieces

8 celery ribs including the leaves chopped into 1cm pieces

Add all the ingredients to the pot cover with water and cook. Use a spoon to skim off the scum that rises to the top. Cook until the chicken falls off the bones. Remove the bones. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Garlic chicken on skewer

3 skinned chicken fillets with all fat removed and cut into cubes

1 tablespoon garlic paste

(Make your own garlic paste. Add a hand full of garlic cloves with olive oil to your food processor, blend to for a paste. Add the paste to a sterilized glass jar cover paste with a little olive oil. Close with a lid and keep in your fridge last up to a month.)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Here is another one

Rice Pasta Salad

I don't measure for this, so this is just an estimate and you can use other veggies

5-7 cups dry spiral rice pasta (I use Tinkyada brown rice spirals)

3 tomatoes cut up into small pieces

1.5 cups frozen green beans, heated up in the microwave (or 1 can green beans)

2 cups frozen califlower or broccoli (or 1 cup of each), heated up in the microwave

4 green onions cut up, or 1/2 red onion cut up

1/2 cup Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing, add more for more flavour (I like more!)

optional

Hard boiled eggs, tuna, or chicken cut up into bite size pices

1 red pepper cut into small pieces

Cook the pasta according to the package. Prepare all other ingredients while pasta is cooking. Mix everything together in a large bowl. Done!

I have increased my vitamin intake Vitamin B Complex plus 2 Thiamax, NeuroMag, Benfotiamine with breakfast. I continue reading and watching gluten free items that I eat. Breakfast is Bobs Redmill gluten-free oatmeal with Chobani zero sugar yogurt a banana and blueberries. Lunch since im at a deli gluten-free is hard to come by so I stick with turkey with gluten-free Promise bread. Dinner varies like gluten-free pasta, tacos, chicken, sausage, meat etc. rice or take out from gluten-free places. I have decided to stay away from gluten-free pizza as I feel I felt weird with it unless its store bought frozen. I am going to try to make my own gluten-free bread, Bagels. I have been good with baking gluten-free treats like cookies, muffins. Snacks if its not fruit, veggies I grab a protein bar or chocolate guilty pleasure reeses, hersheys, York PP. I am going to start to use my fitness pal app to track what I eat and note when I feel off to see if I can pinpoint if a trend of a certain gluten-free food is a culprit. I noticed once in a while I feel a little bloated, gassy that I think is from the pizza so I am going to avoid it and continue narrowing it down. I have been doing very well and I have learned even if you think you are doing everything 100% gluten-free eating it can sneak in without you knowing. This year is more traveling which im afraid of but have already looked into gluten-free places in Nashville which they have and back to Aruba I went last year and have the gluten-free places already selected. Most restaurants I have been to have been very helpful with what to stay away from to avoid CC. If a place states they don't have any gluten-free the I stick with a salad or when I took my kids to breakfast as much as I miss the breakfast this place serves I played it safe with yogurt and a fruit bowl so at least my kids were happy to go there again. Local farmers market has great gluten-free items that I treat myself to like different types of breads, baked goods. My journey continues...

After waisted time of new care team, yet again EXHAUSTED saw new gi today in Modesto, though all my ailments im not getting any kind of concern of me being celiac and sentive to just about everything since menopause. Dr daid why don't I go see you guys because my blood shows zero for celiac. I told him im glutenfree since 1994 by colonoscopy with biopsy positive celiac sprue by GI.Its RIDICULOUS when im bringing in material from this site of knowledge as well as the autoimmune institute, and  there's zero interest on their part.Medical IS causing me depression.Im view as a disability chaser, IM STILL RECOVERING from being a bus driver that im still healing and having more issues, now I may have multiple sclerosis or meningioma. Ive reached out, wrote letters, NOT feeling well. This is inhumane.
