Does anyone know if Flinstons Chewalbe Complete Vitimans are gluten-free?

Never mind jsut foud this on thier site..

We do not add gluten to any of our formulas. However, we cannot guarantee that they are 100% gluten free due to potential trace amounts that could be added or used in the manufacturing process of the ingredients supplied by our vendors.

That not good. I wouldn't take these. Besides any pill form vitamin is only being absorbed about 5-10 percent. My son in on Kids Reliv. He drinks a shake in the morning and it tastes really good. If comes in Vanilla and Chocolate and you mix with milk, soy milk or any kind of milk or maybe even water and make a smoothie. If you need information on this please email me.

Never heard of Kids Reliv, for now he is back on poly vi sol which this site lists as safe. I plan to get with his peditrician about all this soon. Right now only the GI doc is aware fo the situation.

I will have to look for Kid Reliv...

Hi Vincent.

Gee, I had forgotten about PolyViSol. Our oldest son used to take that when he was a baby over 20 years ago. They grow up fast!

I've heard other people say, as Eloise did, that pill form vitamins are not as well absorbed, and I don't disbelieve it. But personally, I haven't found an affordable or readily available liquid vitamin mineral formula, so I use Centrum Chewables. They can be taken by anyone 9 years old and older. (Don't know how old your son is.)

My son is 21 months old. So that knocks of your centrum I guess.

Babies can do Kids Reliv. Expectant mothers can do Reliv as well. My neighbor has a 1 year old that was sick from what she thought was a stomach virum had severe diarrhea and vomiting and is gluten intolerant and was loosing weight and was on the Brat diet started taking the Kids Reliv. He had already been to the hospital several times and had been through lots of tests and vomiting still hadn't stopped. This had already gone on for about a little over a month and she was desperate and talked to me about my condition and if I had any ideas as to what she could do. Kids Reliv was what I recommended and it really helped him. He got well and as soon as he took his first shake he never vomitted again.       Desperately need a vitamin D supplement. I've reacted to most brands I've tried.

      I do not know this, but since they are labelled gluten-free, and are not really a product that could easily be contaminated when making them (there would be not flour in the air of such a facility, for example), I don't really see contamination as something to be concerned about for this type of product.

      Thanks @Scott Adams. Do you know if Kirkland Signature supplements share facility and production lines with other products containing gluten? I'm worried that I'll react to this brand just like I did with other gluten-free labelled supplement brands.

      This is a really common area of confusion. Most natural cheeses (cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella, Parmesan, brie, camembert, and most blue cheeses) are inherently gluten-free, and you’re right that the molds used today are typically grown on gluten-free media. The bigger risks tend to come from processed cheeses: shredded cheese (anti-caking agents), cheese spreads, beer-washed rinds, smoke-flavored cheeses, and anything with added seasonings or “natural flavors,” where cross-contact can happen. As for yeast, you’re also correct — yeast itself is gluten-free. The issue is the source: brewer’s yeast and yeast extracts can be derived from barley unless labeled gluten-free, while baker’s yeast is generally safe. When in doubt, sticking with whole, unprocessed cheeses and products specifically labeled gluten-free is the safest approach, especially if you’re highly sensitive.
