You guys, I just have to complain to somebody...

I was so sick last night.... :( No details....too gross.

Let's just say it involved me and the "throne"....chills, dry heaves, upset stomach, basically, the works.

Honestly, at one point, I just curled up on the bath mat, too weak to make it back to the bed.

Way too much drama for 4:00 am in the morning.

The only unusual food that I ate yesterday was a taco salad from Wendy's which I thought was gluten-free  ...maybe my tummy was having other probs. besides gluten though.

All I know is I was Sooo sick! :(

Anyway, enough about all of that. I just needed to vent.

Thanks for reading.

-Julie

unfortunately the salsa on the Taco Salad at Wendy's in not gluten-free... I made the same mistake once... so I truly feel your pain :(

I hope you feel better soon.

I know how awful you must feel. I hope you feel better soon. Just try to keep it light food on your stomach until it gets back to normal. Try drinking teas like peppermint too...that can really settle your stomach :D

Even if you didn't eat the salsa, fast food places are among the worst for cross contamination.

Oh no... I'm sorry... :( I know how awful that must be.

I wouldn't trust those salads again  especially if the salsa has gluten

Thanks everyone for your well-wishes! :)

I am feeling better. I didn't eat much yesterday. I tried to give my tummy a break...and made sure I only ate things I was SURE were gluten-free.

Good grief! I haven't felt that bad in awhile. Thank you everyone for your understanding. ;)

Blessings. -Julie

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
