Hand Wash

What do those of you with DH use as handwash? I live in Dubai and am struggling to find gluten free options available here.

I haven't been tested for DH but from all the info/pictures on this website am convinced that that is what I have on my hands (and elbows and face). Dermatologist has told me to use QV Wash but as I'm not sure that he knows much about celiac disease and/or DH I am wary of trying this. I have emailed the manufacturers for info but no reply as yet.

Ingredients are listed as: aqua, sodium lauryl sulfate, glycerin, lauryl betaine, disodium cocamphodiacetate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, peg-120 methyl glucose dioleate, glycol stearate, methylparaben, citric acid, propylparaben - does anyone know if that lot are "safe"?

Thanks in advance for any info/advice.

I had DH and gluten on my skin does not trigger DH reactions. It's not something I worry about.

That appears to be mostly coconut based and I don't see anything that looks like it could have gluten. I also have DH and do avoid it in topicals since anything I use on my skin can get into my mouth.

If you have DH you should also avoid iodine in foods until you have been clear for a while as iodine will reactivate the antibodies.

I eat a lot of dairy but its intermittent is this burning so I would assume it would happen all the time. Plus I have been tested for lactose intolerance  etc and I am fine and the other symptoms of that I don't get. As a aside  my dad died last month after a long illness so I wonder if the stress of that might be a influence as a bodily reaction to stress.

You should be fine.  You may start feeling better within a few days.  Someone who is very low in thiamine may notice improvement within hours.   Did you get the NeuroMag  or another magnesium supplement?

Yes Bobs redmill cgf oatmeal I started when I became gluten-free. So taking all 3 with breakfast should work? Will I notice any reactions getting used to these or should I be fine. Thanks

Hello, @pilber309, welcome to the forum! Are you currently consuming dairy?   You mentioned something about lots of yogurt and cheese, but did you cut it out or are you eating lots of it?   Could you clarify please? Some people with Celiac react to casein, the protein in dairy the same as to gluten with antibodies and villi damage.
