Have You Heard Of This Book?

Being diagnosed recently with gluten intolerance, I've been looking around in my library for some books on how to help me through this, but couldn't find any.. I was searching on the web and stumbled across this site that claims to be selling a book selling gluten free food?

I found it here:

Open Original Shared Link

I actually read the reviews, and it sounds ok I guess, but I'm not sure. I was hoping that some of you might have heard of it before and tell me if it's good or not?

I don't want to end up spending money on something trying to help me, and then it wouldn't work..

What do you think?

I bought the Triumph gluten-free grocery guide when I was first diagnosis ed, the book was wonderful but I found that after a couple of weeks it was easier to rely on the Google search bar or call the 800# because I kept forgetting to take the book with me, and I knew the safe items. You may want to go to some of your favorite products websites and just download a list of their gluten-free products and use the money toward food :)

Yeah, I agree. With all the constant changes involved in the new realization by many of gluten (and other) food intolerances, I can't help but think that info in a published book will be outdated in 6 months (including foods that change their ingredients for the worse). I want current info when I shop. If you have an iphone, there's probably "an app" for that. If not, like me, I am trying to keep current with the foods I know I eat (luckily, that's not too much of a variety since I am so new to this lifestyle).

I guess that could be a problem, forgetting to keep bringing the book with you, but I think I might buy it, just to experience it first hand. I'll let you know how it goes!

You all have really good points!

I guess your right, when some companies may just as quickly change the ingredients in the food. I'm going to buy it, just to see how it works, cause I really want to see what this book is like.

I will let all of you know how it goes!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
