do a google search and you'll find a ton. I liked Blue Ridge Grill, any whole foods is nice, Real Chow Baby is awesome, Rosebud, oh there are so many...you'll be confused as to which to choose!

I ate at Figo. They have several locations. It's a pasta place but ate there twice and was fine. They don't put croutons on the salad and have a corn pasta. you can have any sauce on it. There is also a brew pub that was mentioned here by someone as being good with gluten-free beer and food.

Obviously my reply is a little late but for future reference...

I had a good experience on 11-14-11 at Bones Restaurant, a nice steak house in Buckhead. I called ahead, spoke with Isabelle, and explained the situation. She asked me what would be ideal and I told her the specific food items I would prefer and emphasized no CC. She understood, agreed, and suggested I introduce myself upon arrival, which I did. We confirmed the expectations and she introduced me to our waiter. It just so happened that our waiter's wife is gluten-sensitive and he lives, by default, in a gluten-free household and thus understands gluten-free first hand. My only mistake was ordering the steak medium when I should have ordered it medium-rare. The food was delish. Calling ahead was the key.

Sorry, I think I got you mixed up with another poster.

I hadn't been eating gluten free before having the antibody test done. I started eating gluten free after having the test done because the gastro PA told me to eat gluten-free for 6 months. I'm now 3 months in.

I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.
