Adrenal Fatigue

Hi All,

I was curious to know if anyone has experienced a successful outcome when using homeopathy for the treatment of their moderate to severe adrenal fatigue?

I do realize that some symptoms such as allergies, usually have an adrenal component as the root cause. But I am more specifially interested in hearing from people (especially women) who have chronic adrenal issues(fatigue, food cravings, poor ability to handle stress, anxiety etc.)and their success stories.

Thank you for your input!

Hi Tammy -

I have done pretty well by taking licorice supplements for my adrenal fatigue. There's a hormone in licorice that will help support your adrenals and taking licorice regularly for me really helps bring me back up to normalacy. My system gets overbalanced with eating the wrong foods (hypoglycemia) and hormone issues and when this happens, I need to go back on track for a few weeks of taking licorice.

The main things to consider about this are that licorice can raise blood pressure so you need to keep that in mind, and DGL Licorice (deglyccorized licorice) doesn't, but also doesn't help with adrenal fatigue. If you need licorice for digestion, use DGL, if for adrenals, use the regular stuff.

So far, any other herbal remedies for adrenal fatigure haven't been that helpful for me, though I do also make sure I take things to support my liver and my B vitamins. They help with stress.

Take care

Hi

Does anyone happen to have a list of what specific brands of 'regular' licorice are gluten-free?

And, if so, what web site to purchase from?

Thanks,

Gina

I use Open Original Shared Link. It is pretty easy to find at even regular grocery stores (those that have some kind of supplement section) or at the health food store. I take three capsules a day.

the problem with manysupplements for adrenal fatigue is if they are stimulating the adrenals. This it is like flogging dead horse and will actaully make things worse in the long run, so if you decide to take supplements check out exactly how they work on the body first. stay away from guarana and cafeine

the reason the adrenals get fatigued is from too much stimulation. the best thing is reducing stress in all areas of your life, getting healthy and allowing the body the time it needs to get well, rest.

unfortunatley it can take a while but overstimulating already exahuasted gland will just cause more damage, a case of the cure being worse than the disease.

Yeah, it's like sugar crashes - then people eat more sugar to give themselves a little "pick up". And then make it worse. It's like living on credit and not paying the bill.

That's what I like about licorice - it actually benefits the adrenal glands by taking up some of the slack so they can heal.

Stephanie

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
