Caffeine?

This topic may have been discussed many times, but a search didn't bring me an answer. Where does caffeine fit into all of this? Is it a problem? I don't function very well without it--very low energy. Do I need to give it up? I don't feel that I am addicted to caffeine because I can eliminate it for several days without getting a withdrawal headache.

There are no specific problems with caffeine. A lot of alternative health people will tell you it's bad for you, but there are just as many studies showing that it has positive effects including increased alertness, improved mood, and possibly helping to prevent Alzhiemer's. Some people get the "jitters" and anxiety from caffeine; those people tend not enjoy drinking it.

You need to be sure you're not drinking a flavored coffee that has gluten, or a tea that has malt or barley in the blend. Coffee is a GI irritant so if you're still having trouble you can try switching to tea to see if it helps.

I agree w/ Skylark. Caffeine isn't an issue unless it's messing with your GI tract, or if you have any blood sugar problems. I switched to all herbal teas several years ago, but if I could tolerate caffeine, I would definitely drink it up!! ;)

From their website I see "organic barley leaf powder" as an ingredient. Keep in mind that the gluten is in the kernel, and not in the leaves. https://drinkag1.com/about-ag1/ingredients/ctr

Before the rise of social media we were well known by a lot of doctors and were recommended by many, especially our Safe & Forbidden Lists, but as doctors get younger and younger this is probably not happening as much as before.

Thanks Scott I will definitely check my vitamins and minerals to see what I am missing so then I can supplement. I was very concern about my Meniers syntoms and i tryed to find some alive. Now im just realizing that my celiac is provably the root cause of my Meniers none of the 12 doctors I saw told me anything about this.  This web site is so helpful, thanks to people like you we can get answers.

Vitamin D deficiency can contribute to rib pain. Chest pain stemming from the ribs ccould be costochondritis, which involves inflammation of the cartilage connecting the ribs to the breastbone. This pain can range from mild to severe, potentially mimicking heart attack symptoms, and is often worsened by breathing or movement. Other potential causes include muscle strain, rib fractures, or even referred pain from other conditions.  It will also help to chose vegetables low in omega 6.
