Here's a link I found off of another group...thought it might interest those of you who buy flours and such in bulk. I'm not sure how these prices are compared to what you normally pay, but you can compare and decide:

Bulk is the only way to go if you use a lot of stuff and want to save on shipping and handling. We did it for years before going gluten-free and save a bundle on our grocery bills.

Anyone have a good source for bulk amounts of xanthan gum? These small packages get outrageously expensive when you bake two or three times a week for the whole family. A week to ten day's worth of flour mix requires 1/3 cup. I had to pick some up at the store yesterday and it was $10.99 for an 8oz package!

Has anyone ever used Blue Chip's Products before? I've never heard of them, but their prices do seem better than buying individual packages. I'm just wondering if their products are any good?

cdford: I see this company (the link celiac3270 provided above) has a 1 lb bag of Xanthan gum for about $10.

Thanks, Laurie. I bookmarked the site so I will go and research a little further.

I checked out the xanthan gum at Blue Chip. Their price for one pound is about the same as what I paid for 8 oz at the store last week. Sure wish they would package it in something more than 1# but less than 25#! I would probably use the whole 25#, but coming up with that much money at one time would be tough.

Note that their price list is downloadable in pdf format.

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.

I was commenting on the report saying it did not mention migraines! Yes it does last paragraph says have not seen any evidence that Celiac cause migraines! I thought this was about truth?

It has been known for some years that celiacs suffer from migraines at a higher rate than the general populatation. It is an established symptom.

If black seed oil is working for his Afib, stick to it, but if not, I can say that ablation therapy is no big deal--my mother was out of the procedure in about 1 hour and went home that evening, and had zero negative effects from the treatment. PS - I would recommend that your husband get an Apple watch to monitor his Afib--there is an app and it will take readings 24/7 and give reports on how much of the time he's in it. Actual data like this should be what should guide his treatment.
