This restaurant is where we went to celebrate my dad's swearin in into the Utah bar. (I am so proud of him by the way) Anyway, insanely good food. They not only have gluten free options, but vegan as well. Anyway, I did not get sick at all from the restaurant. Just make sure that you order a sampler plate, and get a few items from the starter menu. Anythin that is fried, dont trust. My server told me to avoid the sandwiches (for gluten-free they serve the sandwiches on a bed of lettuce) and entrees. And anythin that would normally come with pita comes with lettuce, and trust me, its delicious with lettuce. I prefer it over pita I discovered. The people there are very well educated on their menu and what is safe.

I had the hummus B'Lahmeh, Basmati Rice, and Mujaddara. Delicious!

Yum! Where in SLC? We will be in that area in March. Haven't decided where we are skiing, so haven't decided where we are staying.

Have you tried the Sweet Cake Bake Shop? In Kaysville? I think that's toward the military base.

Rowena Rising Star

Its essentially in Downtown SLC. There are two locations: 900 south and 900 east or 1500 South and 1500 East. (We went to the 9th and 9th one) I highly recommend it when ye come in March.

As for the Sweet Cake Bake Shop, no I aint tried it. Though I will have to look it up and try it. I am always open to new places I can eat at.

Just found this place in Sandy ( found on the Internet). Eleanors bakeshop. Baked goods and lunches, all gluten-free. Www. Eleanorsbakeshop.com

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
