I posted a topic and now it's "locked". What exactly does that mean?

Thanks guys,

Kristy

Wow--which one?

Locked means that nobody can post under that topic. Are you sure it wasn't the "moved" sign?

EDIT: I also like the Red Sox--my brother is a diehard Red Sox fan (from NYC, lol). Wears his cap everywhere and when my mom and I went to a celiac conference in Chicago, he and my dad went to three games at Fenway over a three day period. My brother (who's 10) also came home laughing over some of the things written on the shirts. I don't want to get warned, so I'm not going to post them here, lol

I don't know how in the world it could get locked.

I'm an Orioles fan...but the Red Sox are on a hot streak and now they are in 1st ahead of my O's <_< O well Red Sox are better then the Yanks in my book so better them then the Yanks

Absolutely. That's what I was saying when the Orioles were ahead. If one of our teams wins the division and the other takes the wild card, the Yanks are out! :)

celiac3270-

That would be awesome if one took the wild card and the other took the division. Too see the Yanks out of the playoffs for just one year would make me proud.

I share your sentiments exactly. I'm also originally from NY, but went to college in Boston and well, you could imagine the rest of the story....Red Sox for life! I'm truly sorry about the Orioles. I'll send them good vibes! So my topic is the one under "Travel" about gluten-free restaurants in Santa Barbara, Tahoe, Napa, and Mammoth Lake. I'm glad that you think it's weird that it's locked......What's up with that?!?!? I NEED to find good food in those areas. (Maybe a Yankees fan did it!) B)

I found the topic and I was able to get in it fine...I even replied and wrote "this is a test topic" It is not locked...maybe it is your comp. I would try it again.

Cool! So, why does thae little envelope thingy(that's the technical term by the way :P ) to the left of the pinned topic have a seal across the flap? Or is that just what I see on my computer becasue I started the post?

Kris

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
