my son banged his head on a slide this weekend and got a fat lip on top. i finally figured out how to get pictures small enough for avatar so I wanted to show him off, but the only recent picture I have is this one.

So cute! My almost 2 yo son is ALWAYS getting a fat lip, it is a weekly event. He's already chipped a tooth! It always looks so bad, but fortunately they heal quickly!

We had one child that we kept putting off getting her pictures made because she always had a purple knot in the middle of her forehead. We finally decided that we needed a picture of her that way...because that was her at that age.

He's adorable! Whenever you schedule picture-taking is when your toddler will fall and get a nice, dark bruise on the face!

My son is 22 months old and his knees are all scrapped up from falling in the driveway with shorts on. But he never got a fat lip yet !! :P

Hi, I will email you, but I am too tired right now to think, was with son at ER last night till 2:30 in morning, the night before infant son Tyler was up all night. I am not used to it. But with Diabetes in someone so young, I guess the Er may become a place that is not so unfamiliar. (It was nothing, just a little dehydrated from being sick, but with diabetes you can't be too careful).

      I'm investigating the possibility of having celiac disease. My kid has Coffins Lowery syndrome, a rare form of Austism, and constantly has these CVS episodes. We suspect it could be related to Gluten sensitivity or celiac. We just started the diet last week, and we'll keep an eye on any improvements.

      @Scott Adams thank you again!  You definitely 100% get it!!  It's so helpful to know that what I'm going through is normal and part of the process. My endoscopy just got scheduled for June 10 (I'm going to be traveling or else they could have gotten me in earlier) so I have 2 more weeks of eating gluten.  I'm assuming I should just go to the endoscopy and start going gluten free as soon as it's done?  Or should I wait for the biopsy to come back just in case they have to repeat something?

      Welcome to the forum, @NightRaven92! The symptoms you describe definitely align with celiac disease or at least NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity). That, and the family history of celiac disease, certainly warrant being tested for it. The first stage of diagnosis involves blood tests looking for antibodies that are more or less specific to celiac disease. If the blood antibody testing is positive, there is usually a second level diagnostic procedure for confirmation involving an endoscopy/biopsy of the small bowel lining, looking for the damage caused by celiac disease. So, when you go to your appointment, I would suggest approaching your doctor this way to simplify the experience: 1. For six...

      Hey so on June 18th next month,I made an appointment next month with my doctor,because I think what could be causing my symptoms,is related to Celiac Disease.       Welcome to the forum, @Marky0320! Simple nausea and emesis is common with celiac disease when gluten is ingested but I have not heard of a connection between CVS and celiac disease per se. Are you asking this question as one who has already been officially diagnosed with celiac disease or as someone who is investigating the possibility of having celiac disease?
