I like that it mentions how they will deal with CC! Hopefully this works, it would be fantastic to be able to get an actual sandwich somewhere so popular..there are even Subways in some of our small towns here :D

Hi all!

I wanted to give an update on the gluten free breads and brownies at Subway! I live in Oregon and they have them at all Portland area Subways. It's very clearly marked and costs a dollar more than the regular 6 inch. The lady making my sandwich went and took of her glutened gloves and washed her hands when I requested the bread. Then she put on new gloves, wiped down the counter and put on a new sheet to put the bread on. She then used a new plastic knife to cut the bread and had another worker open the toaster so she could put it in. What is gluten free is clearly marked and everything was very clean so I wasn't terribly concerned about cross contamination. She wrapped my sandwich up and put it in a separate bag from the gluten stuff I was getting.

The sandwich was good! It's a large bun like a hamburger, but it has a nice flavor and not super crumbly. The brownies are a bit TOO good and I fear it could become a weakness for me. ;) I didn't have a gluten reaction from this and I feel that Subway is doing an awesome job of educating their employees on gluten free practices and the employees are putting them to good use! I was very impressed and I LOVE having a place to stop for a nice sandwich!

I hope this is helpful!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
