A friend gave me some of these box mixes. I tried the cookies last night. They were aweful...the brownie were okay. Anyone else try them. Have I just gotten pickey with my cookies?

I've only tried the pancake mix. I really like it for waffles they turn out light a crispy. Like gluten filled in taste. It contains sorghum which I like the flavor of.

With any product gluten free or not there are some that you will like and some you won't but other swill. It's persoanl preferance.

I bought the box the other day and we made cookies. Let's put it this way, we will not ever buy it again. The cookies were like grits. The taste was yuck.

I’ve used tinctures and made my own edibles with gluten-free ingredients to stay safe. Dispensary staff don’t always know about gluten, so I double-check labels or just make my own.

It's great to hear that there are some good doctors out there, and this is an example of why having a formal diagnosis can definitely be helpful.

Update: I have a wonderful new gastroenterologist. She wants to be sure there’s nothing more serious, like refractory celiac, going on. She ordered various tests including some micronutrient tests that no one has ever ordered before.  I’m deficient in folate and zinc and starting supplements for both. I’m so glad I decided to go to a new GI!

Autoimmune diseases tend to cluster. Many of them are found close together on the chromosomes.

Just giving another update... I was referred to rheumatology, and they suspect that I may also be dealing with fibromyalgia (it has not been formally diagnosed, but just suggested at this point).  So, I am continuing with the anti-inflammatory diet and vitamins and still working to keep getting rid of all these hidden gluten sources, but I also do have another possible explanation for some of the issues that I'm dealing with.
