Well, I have been fluten free now since last Thursday, and the diahrrea has stopped. Feeling better, gas has supbsided alot. No nausea either. Hmmmm?????

Only thing I ate that made me a little gassy  was I had beans this weekend. Need I say more.

My husband even made me gluten-free pancakes from rice flour. They were great. I was very surprised. :)

Found out, potatoe bread is not made from potatoes. How deceiving. First ingriedient, unbleached wheat flour. Hmmmm???

I have always read labels, now I read even closer. I don't trust anything.

I am glad for Whole Foods Market. That store is amazing with the variety it carries.

Well, just wanted to bring you all up todate.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Have a gluten-free day!

Phyliss

Wow! That's great news!! It's amazing how gluten can affect the human body so much, eh?

Keep up the good work!

I have been Gluten Free since Friday and it is amazing to know how much my body was affected. The diarrea has stopped, the stomach cramping has lessened and I am regaining a tiny bit of enery. I did get glutened on Monday by accident, I assumed Caesar dressing was gluten free! :o Not so much! That was when I realized how good I was feeling. I got really sick that night and then realized I hadn't been sick for the past three. So now it is just a learning process and a lifestyle change!!

I have been reading this board a lot before diagnosis and you all have helped a lot. Thanks in advance!!

Heather

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
