Soap

I have always had an 'allergy' to soap. I've never had it checked out. Every time I bathe, I get this itchy rash all over, mostly legs arms and belly. The absolute worst is dial bar soap. That is so bad that if I shower after it has been used I practically scratch my skin off. Could this be a gluten thing? If so, what ingredients should I be weary of?

I don't know as I haven't used Dial for years. Even if it's not gluten, it might contain an ingredient that is irritating your skin.

I find Soft Soap works well for me and I use it in my shower and at all the sinks, too. I use Dawn dishwashing liquid in the kitchen for those things that need to be hand washed.

Dial can be a little rough on your skin just because it has always seemed to be a little bit of a more abrasive soap. Maybe try something a little more gentle like Dove?

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
