A general FYI -- I was vacationing near the Lake Erie Islands last weekend and came across a hard cider alcoholic beverage called "K". I went on their website (www.Kcider.com) and in their Q&A section they answer the gluten question...it has none. I have a 4-pack chillin' in the fridge and now that I have firm info against any gluten I plan on trying it this weekend........stay tuned and I'll post my thoughts on taste, etc.

watch out for K. it's something like 7 % alcohol volume if i remember correctly, which is roughly double a beer. personally, i didn't like it much. i do LOVE strongbow but it's fairly difficult to find in the states. cider jack, woodchuck, woodpecker and magner's are good ciders. magners and cider jack a little less sweet than woodchuck and woodpecker, and strongbow is the dryest and has an alcohol volume of 5 % (or 6 % if you buy it in the republic of ireland haha)

i've tried both of the american gluten-free beers, bard's and ramapo valley, and i find cider is much better alternative plus much more widely available.

the only cider brand i know of to stay clear from is hornsby's

I like K because it's not as sweet as some others and has a fuller body.

I hadn't noticed the alcohol by volume number, but remember that K comes in a smaller bottle.

It can take longer than 6 months for antibodies to drop to the normal range,  My DGP IgA took a few years as I got stricter and stricter about being gluten free  But having symptoms again could also mean you’re getting some gluten in your diet.

Hi, I just had my 6 month check after being diagnosed Celiac 6 months ago.  All of my panel numbers were normal except: Deamidated Gliadin Abs, IgA (It is 31 with high being over 30)  I have also been having symptoms again. Am I not actually being as careful as I think I am or does it take longer than 6 months for this particular test to come back down?  I can't get ahold of my doctor this week as she is out.     Thank you!

That is very strange, because it looks to me like two very different test results, but for the same test! It's definitely time to contact your doctor for clarity on this.

Same day which is strange to me.

Scott, thank you SO MUCH for this!! She has been through so much in the last three years as we've tried to track down answers. This language will definitely help me help her to reframe.
