Gluten-Friendly Restaurants In Estes Park, Co

We stayed in Estes Park for a couple of days last week. There are a couple of gluten-friendly restaurants in Estes Park, and we had good experiences with both of them.

Poppy's Pizza offers a gluten-freen pizza. The crust is made from zucchini. Roger had a pepperoni and canadian bacon pizza and said it was great!

Mama Rosa's offers gluten-free pasta for most of its dishes. You cannot get the lasagna gluten-free, but Roger selected a baked pasta dish, and again, pronounced it a great meal.

We also enjoyed some ice cream at one of the three ice cream shops on the main drag. They were very gracious about putting the ice cream in a dish instead of a cone.

There is also a place with a cereal bar where you can select your milk (soy, almond, etc.) and can select a gluten-free cereal. There was also another pizza place, but I cannot remember the name.

We rented a cabin with a full kitchen, so I could cook a safe breakfast for Roger before we headed out to do some hiking. We even brought the gluten-free toaster along with us. The Safeway grocery store had several gluten-free items on its shelves, even saw gluten-free waffles in the freezer section!

The only trouble we had was finding safe places to eat while out on the interstates. We ended up using our GPS (duh!) to help locate restaurants while on the road, and I spent a lot of time buried in my Blackberry looking up places on the internet. All in all, it was a good trip, the very first major trip we have made since Roger's diagnosis.

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.

I was commenting on the report saying it did not mention migraines! Yes it does last paragraph says have not seen any evidence that Celiac cause migraines! I thought this was about truth?

It has been known for some years that celiacs suffer from migraines at a higher rate than the general populatation. It is an established symptom.

If black seed oil is working for his Afib, stick to it, but if not, I can say that ablation therapy is no big deal--my mother was out of the procedure in about 1 hour and went home that evening, and had zero negative effects from the treatment. PS - I would recommend that your husband get an Apple watch to monitor his Afib--there is an app and it will take readings 24/7 and give reports on how much of the time he's in it. Actual data like this should be what should guide his treatment.
