Texas Renaissance Festival Gluten Free?

I have sent an email out to the festival. I am waiting on a response. In the meantime, I was wodnering if anyone knows of any items at the Texas Renaissance Festival are gluten free?

We love to people watch and eat less than healthy foods this one time of the year. There is nothing on their site that lists anything involving gluten free. This could be a stretch, but thought it might be worth a shot to see if anybody knew on here by chance.

Where in TX? Curious...

My husband and I were at Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg recently and I did find a few things there that I could have (had quite a few snacks in my backpack, just in case). They had some GREAT fried potatos that they were slicing fresh and frying right there on the spot, no additional ingredients, just the potato with dedicated fryers. And then I found another place that was selling burgers and they were very helpful with even the lady at the register walking back to the guys on the grill, being very specific that my burger (100% angus beef, no fillers) could not touch ANYTHING and he grilled it specially and walked the wraped burger straight to me. And then that night, we all four (we were there with another couple) went out to dinner. The chef even came to our table to talk to us and she understood Celiac VERY well. She put together an 'off the menu' salmon salad for me with a made from scratch citrus dressing. It was hands down THE BEST salad I've ever had in my life!

The TX Renfest is in Plantersville. About 45 minutes outside of Houston.

I appreciate your input. A lot of times, I am told, these festivals use the same vendors or setups. So I will keep an eye out for some fresh cut french fries or chips. Yum.

I will also post my findings if the Renfest emails me back a response.

This lady posted another Renfest in TX with the gluten free options, so I am hoping for the same choices here near Houston.

Too far for me from BFE San Angelo... The potatos were wonderful (spiral cut, they were using power drills!) so if they have those, go for it! Looking forward to your report.

Texas Renfest sent me this reply on gluten free options.

"The Queens Pantry Booth 8 does have gluten free food"
