I don't have the actual counts yet, but the nurse called me today and advised that my ultrasounds came back normal. My thyroid is on the "low side of normal". My Vitamin B12 was fine, but my Vitamin D was so low that I do have to go on medication for it. Every woman in my family has low Vitamin D so that did not surprise me.

Did they test you for Hashimotos Thyroid? It's called a TPO Ab blood test.

And by low - they mean low performance as in your tsh was high or did they mean over performance as in your tsh was low?

high tsh=hypothyroid

low tsh = hyperthyroid

They did:

TSH with Free T4 Reflex

Estradiol

Progesterone

Vitamin B12

25-OH Vitamin D (D2+D3)

No test for Hashimotos

You need that Hashis test if your tsh was high.

You need more b's run.

You need a full iron panel.

Remind me what they tested for Celiac? Was it just one or two tests or the full panels?

Mnicole1981 Enthusiast

Just two.

AB Gliadin IGA - 3 (0-19 units)

AB Gliadin IGG - 2 (0-19 units)

Before you let them write you off on Celiac, and before you go gluten-free get ALL of these tests you haven't already had:

Open Original Shared Link

Plus the vitamin levels, plus the tpo.

And get the rash biopsied.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
