Would Anyone Recommend Homeopath Testing?

Sorry if this is confusing! I wrote it rather hurried this morning.

I'm just feeling pretty weak and tired all of the time, it could be from the gluten still but I'm concerned it could be some other food also? I'm just wondering if there would be any point in seeing a specialist for some guidance, as I know what's making me sick even if the doctor's don't!

Thanks for your suggestion, I'll do some research! :)

I am sorry if this got lost in the thread some place... but how long have you been gluten free for? Maybe you just have not healed enough yet. Some people on this forum taking months to years that it took them to get better.

My dietitian is very well versed in celiac matters and has been very helpful in my journey. After I was diagnosed, she helped me set a plan to follow to ensure my body is getting what I need. She also weighs me to keep me accountable (my request). She is simply amazing. Every single person who is diagnosed with celiac in our town is referred to her.

No comment re homeopathy.

That's okay! Sorry for the confusion, I've had a horrible day feeling so weak and tired and not knowing why! My minds been all over the place and I wrote that post rather quickly this morning, before randomly sleeping for a few hours :(

I just feel so frustrated with all of the confusion, constantly feeling ill and useless doctors I've been seeing!

oh hon, I understand your frustration with feeling so ill (that was me for many years) and we want to help.

I am going to agree with Vincent and Karen and suggest you are still healing and it may be too soon to tell if you still have some other intolerances. Have the testing done that Karen suggests to check for anemia or other deficiencies.

I went the route of alternative practitioners for 3 years--- and they only made things worse. Thousands of dollars spent on quackery.

I was desperate for help before my DX. They are of no value for treating Celiac and the consequences of it.

If you suspect other food intolerances, do an elimination diet. There are examples on the site.

Have you taken out dairy? Start with that one.

You sound as if you are still recovering.

It takes time for it to get out of your system.

Do you take probiotics? They can help.

How long have you been gluten-free?

LOVE2TRAVEL has had a good experience with a dietician. If you can see one, go. Dietary advice is sound and valid. But he/she is not able to diagnose allergies.

I was wondering if anyone would recommend undergoing Homeopath, had any experience with it or any advise on seeing a dietician and avoiding the doctors (as all doctors in my experience have been useless!)

Thanks! K x

In my experience, I think that a homeopathic doctor who does not strictly follow classical training might be helpful if they offer lab tests such as EAV test for food and environmental assessment, and EAV test for organ assessment. I had this test done as part of my initial visit. What I liked about my experience with the homeopathic doctor is that they took the time to truly listen (without judgement - something that is rare) to my symptoms. Emotional and physical. They look at the bigger picture. Everything is interconnected. And, I think because of the nature of their training, they are more open minded. :) Always a good thing.

Open minded.

Without judgement.

On the AIP diet, all processed foods are eliminated.  This includes gluten-free bread.  You'll be eating meats and vegetables, mostly.  Meats that are processed, like sausages, sandwich meats, bacons, chicken nuggets, etc., are eliminated as well.  Veggies should be fresh, or frozen without other ingredients like sauces or seasonings.  Nightshade vegetables (eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers) are excluded.  They contain alkaloids that promote a leaky gut and inflammation.  Dairy and eggs are also eliminated.   I know it sounds really stark, but eating this way really improved my health.  The AIP diet can be low in nutrients, and, with malabsorption, it's important to supplement vitamins and minerals.

Thank you for responding and for prayers.  So sorry for your struggles, I will keep you in mine.  You are so young to have so many struggles, mine are mild by comparison.  I didn't have Celiac Disease (celiac disease) until I had my gallbladder removed 13 years ago; at least nothing I was aware of.  Following surgery: multiple symptoms/oddities appeared including ridges on fingernails, eczema, hair falling out in patches, dry eyes, upset stomach constantly and other weird symptoms that I don't really remember.  Gastro did tests and endoscopy and verified celiac disease. Re heart: I was born with Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP) and an irregular heartbeat, yet heart was extremely strong.  It was difficult to pick up the irregular heartbeat on the EKG per cardiologist.  I had Covid at 77, recovered in 10 days and 2 weeks later developed long Covid. What the doctors and nurses called the "kickoff to long Covid, was A-fib.  I didn't know what was going on with my heart and had ignored early symptoms as some kind of passing aftereffect stemming from Covid.  I was right about where it came from, but wrong on it being "passing".  I have A-fib as my permanent reminder of Covid and take Flecainide every morning and night and will for the rest of my life to stabilize my heartbeat.

When I accidentally consume gluten it compromises the well-being of my heart and arteries. Last time I had a significant exposure, about six months ago, I had AFib for about ten days. It came on every day around dinner time. After the ten days or so it went away and hasn't come back.  My cardiologist offered me a collection of pharmaceuticals at the time.  But I passed on them.

So I should not eat my gluten free bread?  I will try the vitamins.  Thank you all so very much for your ideas and understanding.  I'm feeling better today and have gathered back my composure! Thank you kitty kitty   I am going to look this diet up right away.  And read the paleo diet and really see if I can make this a better situation then it currently is.

Hi! I had my first episode of AFib last May when I was 30 (I have had some heart stuff my whole life but nothing this extreme). I was not diagnosed with celiac until the beginning of this month in October of 2025. I was in the early stages of celiac, so I'm not sure if they were related (maybe!) All of my heart tests came back normal except for my electrolytes (potassium and magnesium) that were low when the AFib occurred. I also became pregnant with our third and last baby a couple weeks after I came back from that hospital stay. I had no heart complications after that whole thing. And I still haven't over a year later. It was definitely scary and I hope it doesn't happen again. I drink an electrolyte drink mix about every day, and I'm sure being on a gluten-free diet will help my body even more! I will pray for you in this. Taking care of our bodies is so challenging but Jesus is with us every step of the way. He cares and He sees you!
