Hoping I could catch someone with this experience with a more specific post. As I posted elsewhere, my results were

Deamidated Gliandin Peptide AB, IGA

11 units

Reference range 0-19, negative

Celiac Disease reflexive panel

Immunoglobulin A, Total

143

Reference Range 68-378

Tissue Transglutaminase IGA

15 units

Reference range 0-19, negative

Anyone negative on these blood tests and positive on others? Please let me know what tests showed evidence of celiac for you...just setting myself up to argue with my GI if I need to :) Thanks!

I am normal IgA, and was negative on all but one test. I was positive for TtG IgG. I don't see any IgG versions in your list.

Appreciate your input! I am going to ask for a larger panel at follow up.

My blood tests were negative, but the GI did the endoscope anyway to see if she could find the cause of my severe symptoms. I had comletely flattened villi, and ulceration in one area. It was visible to the naked eye.

After the scope the Dr. said she was pretty sure it was Celiac. The biopsy report confirmed it.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm glad your GI was willing to do the scope anyway.

yes you are lacking the IgG versions of the tests. Especially the deamidated gliadin IgG version. This one is very specific for celiac by the way.

Thankfully those are normal. B12 was on the low end of the normal range when I first got diagnosed. When I last got it checked, it had come up a lot (455 last time checked).

You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/  I didn't notice any gluten ingredients in Kirkland Almond non-dairy beverage, however it does contain Locust Bean Gum. Some gums may cause IBS-type issues in some people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity:

Have you had B12 levels checked?

For the past few months, I've been taking several supplements (a multi-vitamin, an iron supplement, a vitamin C supplement, and a magnesium supplement), all of which state that they are gluten free on the label.

Maltodextrin is typically made from corn.
