My mom bought me a loaf of Millet Bread from Food for Life. The front of the bag says, "Wheat free & Gluten Free." When I read the ingredients it says it contains rye flour. Am I missing something.....??? :unsure:

But I think this was a labeling error. I may be wrong about that though!!

It definitely is a label error. They had them printed up and didn't realize they had "rye" listed. I have eaten it many times (after I read on the web) that it is indeed gluten free. I love it, it's probably my favorite Food For Life bread.

I kept taking the loaf out and looking at the front and then re-reading the ingredients. Thanks!! :)

I was skittish about eating it at first, too. Still feels like a guilty pleasure. Around my parts (northern california) the label no longer says rye...

      Thoughts? Non-endoscopic Celiac diagnosis in two year old

      Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong. yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

      @GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
