Can You Double Check These Ingredients?

This is in a Chinese dish prepared by my local grocery story, all the ingredients sound OK to me but I was wondering if any of them have hidden pitfalls.

Egg white

Orange slice

Orange peels

Corn starch

Vinegar

Hot pepper

Sugar

Sesame Oil

I realize there's a vinegar controversy; I come down on the side of "vinegar is safe." So I guess the sesame oil is really my only concern.

It looks okay to me. I suppose there's a risk of cross contamination if they're making it in a non gluten-free kitchen.

The sesame oil should be fine. Like olive oil or nut oils, it's just made from the seed.

Honestly, I'd want to know what they meant by hot pepper. That doesn't really identify a culinary ingredient. There are a number of capsicums (the bell pepper/habanero family that is referred to as pepper (excluding peppercorns)) that are "hot", so I would expect "jalapeno pepper" or "chile pepper" or "thai pepper" or the like. What I worry about in an ingredient list like that in chinese food is whether or not they're really referring to something like a chili paste, which *could* have a non-safe ingredient (though it's not likely). It's not really a big worry, however, and I think that I would probably consider it safe and eat it, myself.

And, as mentioned, the CC risk...

I would rather they left the hot pepper out, to be honest. I don't like it so spicy!

It can take longer than 6 months for antibodies to drop to the normal range,  My DGP IgA took a few years as I got stricter and stricter about being gluten free  But having symptoms again could also mean you’re getting some gluten in your diet.

Hi, I just had my 6 month check after being diagnosed Celiac 6 months ago.  All of my panel numbers were normal except: Deamidated Gliadin Abs, IgA (It is 31 with high being over 30)  I have also been having symptoms again. Am I not actually being as careful as I think I am or does it take longer than 6 months for this particular test to come back down?  I can't get ahold of my doctor this week as she is out.     Thank you!

That is very strange, because it looks to me like two very different test results, but for the same test! It's definitely time to contact your doctor for clarity on this.

Scott, thank you SO MUCH for this!! She has been through so much in the last three years as we've tried to track down answers. This language will definitely help me help her to reframe.
