Are Traces Of Milk As Bad As Drinking A Whole Glass Of Milk (Assuming You Are Not Officially Lactose Intolerant).

I was always curious about this. I know that if you are super sensitive, even the smallest traces will mess you up, but for someone who is not so intolerant, small amounts of gluten or dairy or not as bad drinking a tall glass of milk or eating a big croissant, right?

If you're a Celiac, then small amounts of gluten are just as bad as big amounts. You might not react, but it'll still hurt you. If you seem to be dairy intolerant, then I don't think the small amounts would physically hurt you if you aren't reacting. For me, it works to just avoid large amounts. As far as dairy is concerned, it's all in what works for you. (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Unless you have a casein-dependent enteropathy (casein is causing the destruction of your villi), and I would note that this is extremely rare, then you simply cannot compare the two. They operate differently.

If you have a "regular" intolerance to casein, then you may well have a sensitivity level - a dosage at which you are perfectly fine and your body can handle it. What this level is varies between people. For some, it might allow you to have milk in your coffee, but for others, it may be so little as to cause symptoms with traces. But only you can figure that out.

For me, I can tolerate butter, but avoid larger servings of cow dairy.

Thank you.. Christina My anxiety is through the roof.  I think it was from eggs.  I really don't know because my eyes feel sore. Like I'm allergic to them.  I was defient in B12.   My heart is pounding and it won't stop.  Not sure what to do.   I don't have much support other than this forum.    Colleen

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
