  1. Actually, Carla, I brought my food to my Mom's birthday barbecue, (this was Sat. the 15th) but decided to go ahead and be brave and eat a couple of roasted zucchini with salt and balsalmic vin. Things were okay that night, but not good since. Last night was THE WORST since April- just about every symptom back. Nights are the worst for me-usually after...
  2. Lighteningfoot, Hi! I don't know if you're interested, but, I make my own fruit "concoctions", like jams and syrups. I take fresh fruit- blueberries (yum!), strawberries or cherries, add a little sugar or sucanat and simmer on stove 'til boiled down to jam-like consistency or like syrup. I also add a teaspoon of my own homemade vanilla (3 vanilla beans...
  3. Thanks, All...yes, I am anxious just to have some more info-maybe. It will be officially 3 wks on July 26, so I guess I should just breathe. Having a very bad week this week and can't find the hidden gluten. Has anyone ever had intestinal reaction to waxed dental floss or suntan lotion? lisa
  4. Thank you, Carla and Kim! I will look for those tortillas. May we all never have to think about our digestive systems someday! lisa
  5. Thank you, Carla- I feel a bit stupid about that now! I've found some more stuff on him and am STILL waiting1 lisa
  6. Carla, Do they make tortillas out of rice flour? I've never seen any and I don't eat corn. I am still struggling with symptoms going on 4 months gluten, soy, dairy and corn free, so I mostly eat fish, meat veggies and a little fruit. Still having some trouble with fruit, I think. I agree that changing the way you eat as opposed to replacing bread is the...
  7. lpasko2; Hi, I, too, am a bit new to this and I have a LOT of problems at night. I also am very frustrated right now because after feeling much better for awhile all my issues seem to be returning. This is all at night: abdominal distension, pain, bloat, gas, tail-bone pain, feeling of "bubbling" in small intestine, joints and bones "cracking", some nausea...
  8. Thank you. I don't know what a "CV" is, but I'll try to find out. I have been to his website. lisa
  9. Hi. My son just went through TOO many rounds of antibiotics and it very much screwed him up. Check out the C Diff, it's becoming more prevalant and Kevlex is an intense antibiotic. It took a few months for him to get better. I have problems with cooked rice; maybe that's not helping? Hope you are well soon! lisa (from Maine, not so far from P'mouth...
  10. This is unbelievable! I have used olive oil exclusively (baking, too! It's fine) for most of my adult life and this is such discouraging news. But, thank you, Chelsea, for the info. It would be nice to know some trustworthy brands. I prefer an oil from Kalamata, Greece and have always assumed it is what it says it is. I'll do some research and see if...
  11. Hi Everyone. I WAS logged in (I thought) as "Laferriere", but as I am machine and computer incompatible, something went VERY wrong and I haven't been able to write in for weeks! Well, now I've changed my log-in name and, hopefully, have figured this out. I thought I would post when I got the results from the Enterolab testing. I, too, have some reservations...
  12. Hi! I just thought I would say "hello" as I noticed you are from Maine. I have been using Wild Oats as well, and am disappointed they are pushing the Whole Grocer out of business! The prices are too high; unfortunately, some things I can only find there. Good luck to you. From One Maine Girl to Another lisa
