Dear fedora, I too, have had this trouble with tuna and salmon. They are fatty fish, which is one possible cause of heartburn. However, as Julie said, it may be something the fish is processed with. I read recently excessive salt in foods can trigger heartburn. Reflux is a major issue for me, so this is very important to consider. You just...

Dear Donna, You are more than welcome for the compliments! It is such wonderful news to hear your bills are paid off! That must be a great feeling! One day, I hope to know what that is like. Julie is right, you really must pace yourself while redoing your condo. Overdoing it is detrimental to your health. Work being busy... -

Dear Mia, I have thought about taking MSM. I know it also can get rid of parasites. Dad takes it along with glucosamine and chondroitin for his arthritis. His doctor is very interested in that. Meanwhile, I hope those massages and colonics work their magick for you! Keep us posted. Sincerely, ... -

Dear Mia, I was just thinking on if it was you who was going to try the Mayan abdominal massage. Claire had mentioned them before. I know you were thinking about it at one time. Do you still do the ionic foot baths? You have not mentioned them lately. Dear April, We probably have to stick with gas as well for now. You cannot cook... -

Dear Carla, I am glad to hear you have not had bad experiences with anyone on Lyme Chat. My place is certainly here. People here are not abrasive, kind of like Rembrandt. It brightens but does not tear down enamel! Those are true friends. Today is Lariam day! Do not forget! A lot of people really say good things about Mino... -

Dear Mia, I will keep those beauty products in mind. You would not happen to know of anything that is good for oily skin, would you? I may just have to experiment and make my own soap. I have been reading up on herbals, and think making my own may be the most effective thing. If I attempt it, I will let you know how it works out. ... -

Dear Andrea, I sure hope to get that blood work sent to IgeniX Monday. The hospital is where I will have to go. The doctor said the lab in their building did not know how to do that type of test. So, I will have to go out there Monday and hope for the best. Dr. B said they would have to keep the kit for a few days, but I was too afraid that... -

Dear Carla, Now is it the Babesia or the Bartonella treatment you are herxing from? Are they treating both at once, or each separately? I know you have been forgetting your Lariam. You only take it once every five days, right? You will be due for it again soon since you took it last on Wednesday. The disagreement on Lyme Chat... -

Dear Carla, No wonder you felt so rough! It is a good thing you figured that out. Levaquin seems to be really miserable for everyone. Mia sure had a difficult time with it. I hope to avoid taking it, but probably will have to if I have co-infections. Those wisdom teeth definitely need to go! They are awful. I have never been in pain... -

Dear Everyone, I am way behind on my reading right now! I am only on page 1860. Hopefully, I will get a lot of reading done and be able to reply to you all. These headaches are really problematic. Reading is very difficult when your head feels like it is being bashed in with an ice pick. Due to the possibility of having Lyme, getting my... -

Dear Lisa, You are right. Crunch'N Munch is bad for all of us! I have not had it since. All of the sugar and chemicals is terrible! Why does everything that is so tasty have to be so bad for us? I suppose we will just have to add that to the great mysteries of life list! Thank you for your good thoughts on the job! I really... -

Dear Everyone, I have missed writing to you all so much! Something odd happened where the forum would not let me go past 1844 the other week, and I got very behind. I am not on the top of page 1857 and hope to be caught up with reading soon. I am so glad to see the new faces, as well as Rinne, Judy, Patti, and some others returning! Everything... -
Dear Alona, You are welcome for the replies! I do suspect the wheat has something to do with it. The nurse at the derm's office might not really know anything about it. I am allergic to food dyes, so I am always broken out. They put coloring in everything from ketchup to candy! Even my medications have dye! Stupid allergies! ...

Dear Alona, That is a possibility. I do know of a dermatologist that removed my mother's moles before. He is the only one in town with a payment plan. Right now, DH is the least of my worries. The Lyme is a larger concern at the moment. My physical and the bloodwork alone are scary, but then factor in the nearest Lyme Literate Medical Doctor...

Dear Alona, Ouch! I am glad you can at least show the dermatologist what it looks like. I hope they do the biopsy. This is important. Treating DH is not always easy, though. Let us know what happens! I cannot afford a biopsy, so I suppose I will just have to avoid touching and eating gluten obsessively as I have been doing. However, since...

Dear Lacey and Tracy, I bet it is DH that I have as well. That would make perfect sense. I have been having a terrible time with this supposed acne, and sometimes it is painful. I will actually scratch the side of my face until it bleeds sometimes. It burns and itches that much! OTC stuff just does not help much and although I have been...

Dear Lacey, Can DH look like acne? My acne itches and burns until I scratch it and it bleeds sometimes. Then, my scalp started breaking out worse more recently. I have been gluten-free since August of 2006, but due to having to share a kitchen, I have been glutened periodically. I get violently ill upon ingesting a microscopic amount of the stuff...

Dear Alona, I know how you feel! I live in a small town as well. Getting the best medical treatment and diagnostics is difficult. I may have Lyme disease, and the closest doctor there is that treats it is pretty far away. I am sure even if the dermatologist does not know what DH is, you probably could look up some information on diagnostics...

Dear sickchick, That is great! I am worried soy may be an issue for me. I hope it is not. If I cannot have Chinese food ever again, that would completely suck! It is my life blood! Sincerely, NoGluGirl -
Dear Alona, I agree that Celiac is still very likely. Blood tests can be negative. In fact, more recent research has revealed that some of the most severe cases of Celiac tend to be seronegative. I spit up every formula as an infant, and had to be put on 2 percent milk. On top of that, I later developed Thyroid Disease and Anemia on top of...

Dear Andrea, He he! Balance is something that is supposed to be like equilibrium. Is it really possible to obtain? I wonder. How come we cannot have one day per week with an extra hour? They must save it for leap years. I feel so screwed out of time right now! Leap Day was last week. Dear Kassandra, I agree checking with... -

Dear Paula, I think they have some good stuff. They also have mineral make-up. Starter kits are $20.00. That is very reasonable. My major concern is finding a mascara for contacts! Maybe I will use the false lashes instead. Dear Colleen, Thank you for posting the link! I am sure that will be very helpful. I just heard about... -

Dear Birdy, Nausea is a common symptom of Candida die-off. I have it constantly. It really could be anything. A combination of things could be the cause. My body is pretty out of whack. I desperately need to get off the sugar as well. That is my big no-no I have so much trouble with. The 6WBMO should really help with this. I...
