ARCHIVED The Healing Process...
MauriceGreene replied to MauriceGreene's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Interesting. IgGs can take a very long time to go down and that may be causing you greif, if you actually were producing them (but obviously you didnt get it tested). From what I have read it takes atleast two days for the tick to remain on you to transfer the disease. If you got bit on the back then its understandable but two days is quite a buffer of time... -
ARCHIVED The Healing Process...
MauriceGreene replied to MauriceGreene's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
What are you iga, igg, ttg levels. If they are not down to normal then its understandable to think there is still room for improvement. Idk about lyme disease it is very very very rare only 200,000 in the US. Thats 0.04% chance. Assuming that both having celiacs and lyme is independent of each other the probability of having both would be around 0.0004%. -
Have any of you fully healed or healing celiacs/gluten intolerance people gone through a phase where your real main symptoms are gone and you dont feal ill but you just dont feel GREAT. Like you feel okay and can get on with your day but you dont feel like you have energy to burn and you just want to sleep. Discuss..

ARCHIVED Can't Stand It Anymore!
MauriceGreene replied to whitball's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Man get a grip. Eating amounts to 1%-5% of your life, good health and wellbeing amounts to 25% or more with overall happyness. Lifes a jerk aint it but there are problems far far worse than being a celiac. Anyways I am positive that there will be an eat what you like pill (either regulate zonulin or enzymes which break down gluten) within the next 10years... -
ARCHIVED Can Anyone Clearly Explain Iga And Igg Differences?
MauriceGreene posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I am interested to know. Say for example your blood work is: ttg: 18 IgA: 15 IgG: 66 as aposed to ttg: 18 IgA: 66 IgG: 15 -

1) get some excercise 2) You just gotta suck it up. If you have a desire and purpose for everyday, not feeling good should not be enough to stop you. Think the black knight from monty python. -
ARCHIVED Results Interpretation Question
MauriceGreene posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I have wanted to know for a while if I have celiacs or just gluten intolerance. 3 months ago my results were ttg: 23, 20 = normal iga to gluten = 80 and now three months later ttg: 21 iga to gluten 60 I really want to know but I dont wanna have a biopsy ( 4 week gluten test required). I had the HLA gene test done, if this comes back positive... -
ARCHIVED Any Weightlifters, Bodybuilders?

I would say EAT EAT EAT. You seem like an ecto so focus on your compound lifts, squat, deads, and bench. Abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym. -

MauriceGreene replied to Kody's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
kody, if your job was stricly waiting around and picking up a pizza box you would not be getting gluttend. however I doubt this is the case. I would go to mexico, just have fun being lazy and eating right. sounds like fun have you recovered and what is the prognosis for people with lyme disease? -
too pedantic imo. Assuming that your remote control is not made out of carpet, how will you get cross contaminated. The only way I see it happening is if gluten gets stuck in the cracks and then falls out ( I dont see how this could happen) onto your hand then you shove your hand in your mouth.

Arg, I just found out that a good amount of spices I was using in my everyday cooking had WHEAT FLOUR and WHEAT STARCH in them. Stuff like ginger and pepper. WHY WOULD YOU PUT WHEAT INTO GINGER My question is, is it enough to still make one feel sick? Can it be attributed to my only 50% improvement of symptoms??? Was it just as bad as not going on... -
Well I am at the 2.5 month mark with gluten free. Intial symptoms (flu like symptoms) have improved about 85% so I'm happy. However new things are comming up like sloppy poo (can I say that ) at times and GAS, not painful or anything but I have farted around 50 times times today and burped about 20. I dont know why because I never farted this much pre-celiac...

ARCHIVED Australians And New Zealanders Hellooooooo :)
MauriceGreene replied to Aussie Peg's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Question for New Zealanders: I like using mfd.co.nz I think its really great but how much do you trust it? Like I had some cottage cheese last night which was gluten free on the list (country goodness cottage cheese) but then I read on the ingredients that it has additive 1422, a thickener which can be made from maize or wheat? My question is how reliable... -

MauriceGreene replied to MauriceGreene's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hmm thanks again for your opinions. RE pins and needles, I have had bad circulation in my right hand since I was about 14-15 which I only noticed in the winter when it was cold, apart from the occasional pins and needles nothing I was concerned about. But I dont know what to think because only in the past two days I have been getting pins and needles a lot... -
ARCHIVED Gluten -- I Cheated And It Was So Good

That pisses me off so much. My friend's neighbor does the exact same thing, he's gluten intolerant and has gluten in little snacks and cheats quite often. Its people like these who make you look crazy when you adhere to a completely gluten free diet -

Thanks for advice, I live with family which have been fantastic to me. My mother and sister both bake a lot so they always cook me gluten-free stuff and are both as paranoid as me about cc. I dont use their toaster anymore as well. Thats good to hear I am hoping I'm in the same boat. I've also been wondering does anyone get pins and needles... -

Thanks for the advice, I eat like a horse. I always ate clean food before gluten intolerance. 9 months would be very frustrating for me you seem to be coping well! Thanks nini I am 100% positive because I have not eaten out since being diagnosed, I don't have taco bell where I live , and I have only been eating foods from the list deemed... -

I have been 100% gluten free for one month and zero improvement (just the same ups and downs), I would not be complaining if I were 60 and had symptoms for years but I'm only 17 and only had symptoms for 9 months! I dont even know if its celiacs YET at this stage it is just gluten intolerance ( got tested with blood sample, slight raised iga If I remember...
