  1. Shroomie- Same thing (hypoglycemia) happened to me the other day and I was at least a half-hour drive from home. I hope you're feeling better. And yes, karen should lecture us both on having food with us at all times rather than lecturing her sons OK- the ER debacle. I's not feeling so hot anyway these days but Wednesday I had this "hive-like" thing...
  2. Well, well, well........... All Hail HRH Queen Emily of the Canadias! I always wanted to get this fer someone so I shall give this to you. Yes, please. Everyone drink yer favorite cocktail for me tonight- the new expression in the Bah-ston area is "get yer drink on" I personally am in the mood for frozen margaritas with lots of salt...
  3. Dude- YOU ROCK! however, I must say that you can't give up ALL sugar for me. I can't drink on antibiotics cause it turns into sugar and feeds them bacteria so I simply MUST request that you drink enough for both of us! Can you do this? Are you with me? Can I tell you what I'm in the mood for and you drink it for me? Pretty please
  4. I had to respond to this because I have experienced something similar but not at night, when I nap in the afternoon (which I do daily because I have Lyme Disease). It just happened this afternoon- I was napping and could hear my dog going crazy barking because someone was at the door. I knew all this but I couldn't move. I never really thought about it...
  5. Hello Me Psillies! How for fart thou? I have been reading along so I'm mostly up on what's going on but may have missed some things. Em- How's yer mom doing? And her eyebrows? 6. C'mon down Emily- Take the border crossing in VT (not sure which one; it's close to Isle la Motte). Follow 8 south to 93 South. Take a right on 128 then....oops. Can nae go on cuz I might have a stalker ) Or take 90 East all the way to Massachusetts. Take a right on 128. You don't need no triptych (I love that word!)
  7. Hi Stef- I haven't seen you in ages! Love the ant story. Rachelle- That is so disgusting <insertgreenpukeface> Not sure about this but I likes the sound! 9. You definitely ate gluten if it was whole wheat semolina. It could be that you have healed a bit more and don't react as strongly or the amount of gluten. My reactions have varied a lot since I first went gluten-free- I used to get deathly ill. Now I just feel uncomfortable. I'm sure you already know this, bu even if you didn't react you shouldn't eat gluten...
  10. This used to be the case with blue cheese, but not so much anymore. Still ALWAYS read labels. That was a gluten-free list but I think it's old. Cheese is generally gluten-free but cheese products may contain gluten (like salad dressing, cheese dips and spreads). You should always read the labels.
  11. Am woefully behind but been reading along. Saw this Burst out laughing....'tis me MIL's name. No comment.
  12. Quick poop in cause I HAD to share this with you all. It's ridiculously awesome (and VERY cute!). Since 2008, two French hikers have chronicled their trek from Miami, FL to the tip of South America, a journey of 15,000km (about 9,320 miles) through 13 countries. But what elevates this hike down a hemisphere straight into the Cuteosphere is the third...
  13. Lisa- Your whole post and interpretation of interpreting But I meant to say ((((HUGS)))) to T when I pooped in before. You did it so well, I'll just use your words. Hang in there T- better days will come!
  14. Just wanted to poop in and say I'm keeping multiple limbs crossed that he comes back soon. I think he will. Peter- Good news on Jacquie.
  15. You are very welcome! Really, I swear it does get easier. There are always times when it's difficult, but like with anything else, you learn how to work it out. At first, restaurants were mostly out for me because I didn't know what I was doing and people would look at me like "You can't eat what? What's that?" but there is much more awareness now. That...
  16. Hi Jennifer- Welcome! Nicorette gum is gluten-free : From Open Original Shared LinkDoes Nicorette contain gluten, animal derivatives, latex or dairy products? No, Nicorette does not contain any of these. Yes, it gets MUCH easier! Really. It's overwhelming at first. When I went gluten-free in 2005 there were few gluten-free products and other labels didn...
  17. One of my friends from childhood is a fitness guru (videos etc) and you should see what she can do...freaking amazing. I would love to try with no one around for 5 miles! Go Jess! All those links. Fab! You so rock! Ask your husband if he thinks one of your kids should be scarificed: "Dr. Laura's intolerance is not confined merely to name-calling...

  19. I too am an itchy ear sufferer. I have been gluten-free for 5 years and it has gotten MUCH better. I used to get ear infections chronically and also had eczema just at the entrance to my ear canal which would crack and bleed. It has gotten a lot better. In 5 years since going gluten-free, I've had one ear infection instead of several a year and the eczema...

  24. Ugh....joint pain is the WORST! The stinging pain sounds like it might be nerve pain which is awful. I've had neuropathy off and on and the only thing that helps me is ketoprofen (it's an anti-inflammatory my doctor prescibes- for some reason it works on nerve pain). For muscle twiching/spasming, I take a magnesium supplement and that helps. Make sure...
