That's horrible! Could it have been salmonella and not gluten? I really think your experience can vary by location. I eat at the one in Peabody, MA and have never had a problem. I used to have a problem with one Legal Seafoods location but not at any of the others.

Only RICE CHEX is gluten-free (just checked the website). It could definitely be the soy but people here have reacted to M and M's. Maybe CC on the lines. Well said! Yes- encouragement and support! That's great you were able to push her biopsy to today and that thinks look good. IMHO trying the gluten-free diet never hurts! The key word is some but NOT most. Most of us are happy, supportive and encouraging. As Peter said, if someone is in the wrong place, it is NOT you! Topics get heated ccasionally... -

Hi kathy- I'm sorry to hear you and your daughter are having such a rough time- celiac and mastocytosis I agree with Nikki's post. The good thing is the doctors can't force you to put her back on gluten (thank God!). Follow your gut- you know what's best for your doctor. Keep us posted. -
I would eat yogurt or take probiotics. Open Original Shared Link. It's the best one I've found (I'm on long-term antibiotics for Lyme).

I was thinking thyroid too. Also, maybe going on some probiotics to help with bloating might help too. I put on twenty pounds recently FAST and it turned out to be my thyroid (my medication needed to be readjusted) and candida (which they can also check with a blood test). In my case, the candida is because I've been on long-term antibiotics. My stomach... -

Hey Rachel- I too was going to suggest you see someone. It might help you understand why you won't follow the diet. If you're 20 years old and feel like that (no energy, motivation, depressed, weight gain and possible diabetes) it CLEARLY is affecting you! Think of it as an addictive behavior- and you are certainly NOT alone in that. Please get help...
