When I called the company a few months ago (POST) I was told that both fruity pebbles and cocoa pebbles are made on dedicated lines.......that is why I have no worries about them.

Connie-
Thanks for the info. I will have to get some sunflower seed oil for next time. I really think the garlic would be GREAT with a big plate of sghetti!! YUM!

I thought I would pass this along for those of you who are bakers. It can get expensive buying brands such as Bob's Red Mill Baking Powder, so here is a Mainstream alternative.

I really do not recommed the neuclear medicine test if you do not REALLY need to have it. It is pure TORTURE!!!
I had this test before my diagnosis. They thought that my gall bladder probably needed to come out (wasn't the gall bladder it was Celiac Disease).
For the study you are injected with this radioactive dye stuff. THEN here comes the TORTURE...you must lay COMPLETELY still for 3 hours underneath this machine that is pressed up against your stomach that takes constant pictures of the dye. You get a 5 min break in the middle to drink some fatty milk and eat a cookie(yep good idea for people with celiac). Then it's straight back to laying on a cold hard metal table for the rest of your 3 hours. TORTURE I tell you!! Not even able to scratch your nose!! I do not recomend it at all!! Be VERY sure it is necessary before you do it.

Enterolab isn't covered by insurance (at least not most) and also isn't accepted by most mainstream medical doctors. So if you do get a diagnosis from Enterolabs, most doctors do not accept it(yet, maybe never?). If you have problems with either of those things, then it is not for you.

I have started a online support group/ information group. I have about 110 links to different information, research, and foods etc posted there. You are welcome to come and join, just PM me and I'll send you the address to the site. I can't put it up here, no promoting your own websites
. But if you would like please come join us there. Several folks have kiddoes and I'm sure they would be a great help. It doesn't cost anything to join, just doing this for free to help others.
-Jessica
P.S. if anybody else wants the address PM me.

Your little one has been gluten-free, therefore not producing the antibodies that the blood work tests for. Having the blood work is pointless unless you put him back on gluten, and it would have to be for a extended period of time. It is a waste of money to run the tests if the little guy isn't on gluten at the time of testing and a certain period of time before the tests.

I used canola oil. Thanks for the website, maybe I'll look into some other kinds.

I haven't gotten mine either, I'm beginning to wonder if it was just too good to be true. I would have thought it would have been out by now.
I was really looking forward to my sample.

Nacho Cheese Doritos seem to be the only NON-gluten-free dorito. The others are fine, with the exception of the cross contamination issue that has already been mentioned

Connie or anyone else who knows-
I tried to make the poori today. Everything went well, very easy to mix up and everything. However had quite the time with the oil. It begain smoking before I really even started cooking!! By the time I was done the house was FULL of smoke!
What is a good oil that holds up under high heat/temperatures? I want to make this again sometime, but hope to avoid the smoke filled house! haha
-Jessica
PS. the poori itself is AWESOME!!

The canadian Heinz list and UK list has been moved to it's own section. Thanks!!

C&H Sugars are gluten-free.
I know in some of the other brands of brown sugars especially they add "natural colorings and natural flavorings to make it brown".
-Jessica

I use Ore-Ida Hashbrowns..the thinly sliced NOT the country style(chunky). Mr. Dell's is another gluten-free brand that you could use, and I have used before.

You are VERY welcome! I use these products all the time and I know it is helpful to have things you can pick up at the regular grocery store instead of spending an arm and a leg at the health food store!! Glad it was useful to some!!
