I called Kraft about the cross contamination issue just last week. The lady on the phone gave me the usual Kraft response (which is fine) of they put everything clearly on the labels. I asked her if the product was on a dedicated line. She said that if it were not that too would be listed on the label.
I feel very safe eating the pebbles!!

I have been gluten, wheat, and dairy free now since the first part of January 2004.
Since you have not been ingesting gluten, your body won't be producing antibodies for the gluten. Therefore your blood tests will come back negative. In order to get the testing, you need to be eating gluten products. Best of luck!!

I really wish I could say that my allergies went away after being gluten-free. I take zyrtec daily. If I miss a couple of days I am stuck sneezing and miserable. Thank goodness for Zyrtec lol !!!

Many lipsticks do contain gluten, so I'm sure that chapsticks/lipglosses are the same way. You might want to ask your partner with the kissable lips to forgoe the lip gunk?!?
Natural Ice Chapstick is gluten-free it is made by the Mentholatum Company.

It amazes me how a constructive adult conversation was taken the turn to a new low with this remark. Mario consider yourself warned. Please read the board guidelines/rules.

It sounds to me like you might have a latex allergy if the condoms leave you itchey as well as the patches (they have latex in them also) . When you talk to the doc you might mention that.

PS...I'm a moderator so Don't worry too much! ha

Personally am TOTALLY not offended. I know there was a topic about this very subject on the old board. (I started it hehe!!
) I am having trouble remembering what all was said about it. It was quite a while ago. I think that it was determined that nothing would be harmful...but I really can't remember GRRRRRRR I hate when I can't remember things.
I think the main problem would be if you are, ok pardon my terminology here...but if you are swallowing the semen. Or if you have DH and are not using condoms. That is the only way it would effect things even if it DOES carry gluten.
But I am not totally sure either way on the answer.....you might want to ask your dr to be sure and let us know what you find out.

Like I said...I used only cashews....I'm not sure about the macadamias...maybe somebody else knows???

I think it would be great if Sara would set a standard for doctors all over the U.S. to become educated about topics that fall between the cracks. That would be AWESOME!!.
However, we still can not overlook the fact that many people on this board have gone through HELL to get diagnosed. The point of the board is to be able to share information and experiences. They should not be reprimanded for doing so.
So ......if you wish to continue living in a hole and ignoring the fact that doctors are missing the diagnosis on Celiac disease, then please feel free. However, if you wish to make a difference for "your medical community" and educate those doctors around you, so they stop missing the diagnosis then YEAH!!! I applaud you for your efforts.
But please do not come onto the board and act as if these people here don't know what they are talking about. They have lived through the experiences, they are not making up the information. It anything I would think it would be a RED FLAG to the medical community to make some changes.
Bad things had to happen in order to make people feel this way about doctors, maybe doctors need to take notice and figure out a way to change things and build trust and respect again with their patients.

I used all cashews in my recipe, because they are my favorite and Macadamias are SOOO expensive. It still turned out great, you could use your favorite nuts as a substitute. Enjoy!!

They added wheat to the ingredients at the first of the year. There might still be a few safe boxes on the shelf, but If they are made after 1-1-04 they are no longer safe. Sorry

I'm trying to clear up some of the confusion Mario is creating on the board. He is in CANADA products are produced with different ingredients in the U.S. VS. other countries. They may go by the same name, but have different things in them. Check with the number in the US if that is where you are at. He is referring to CANADA.
Sorry for the Mis-Information and confusion.

You might want to inform folks that the list you are speaking of is for Canada Only . Here in the US....Kraft just makes a blanket statement of saying they will put any ingredients clearly on the label. Jello in the US is safe, but read the labels because they change frequently. If you are speaking of products in Canada, you might want to inform people of that, the ingredients differ from country to country and some things here are not safe there and vise versa.

I guess I'll go ahead and answer my own question....Yes this list is only Canada . I am moving it to the canada section of the board now.

Ok I just have to vent. I went out with some friends for supper tonight. I went ahead and ate before time. I knew we were going to Applebee's and they are not very celiac friendly. They put seasonings on their meats and even plain veggies aren't safe there.
I really thought I would be ok to just sit there and order a pop, seeing as I was full. I HATED sitting there and not getting some of the yummy coconut shrimp and pasta stuff and all the good smelling food.
I had fun, got to see people I hadn't seen in a while, but I hate feeling the way I felt tonight. Waiters kept asking why I wasn't eating etc etc. My waiter even bought my pop for me because he felt so bad!!
I really haven't had one of these "poor me" days in a while. I guess I'm due for one. Thanks for listening.

Lucky Charms also have Oat flour. I personally wouldn't touch them with a 10 ft. pole.

This list is only for Canada, correct? Kraft USA still has the policy of having clear labels with allergens listed in bold. If this has changed, someone speak up!!

Herbox Boullion cubes are gluten-free. They are made by hormel. It states right on the jar they are gluten-free. The bonus part is, they are sold in regular grocery stores!! YEAH!!

I haven't seen any doctor bashing on this board. What I have seen is many individuals sharing their own individual experiences with physicians. It can be ugly for some people. They are sharing their frustrations and problems, which is exactly what is board is all about!!
As far as Mis-information goes.....people are free to put in their two cents to try to correct mis-information. That is yet another purpose of being here and being involved.
We are here to listen to each other and support each other. Those who do not wish to do this are free to go. It is really a shame that they can't be supportive of fellow Celiacs.
Just my two cents.

While going through the diagnosis process. I had a doctor hand me a sample packet of prozac and tell me I was depressed. I looked at him and said, "I may be depressed, but the only reason I would be is because you are too stupid to figure out what is actually wrong with me." And I walked out of his office and haven't been back, however when I got my diagnosis, I did mail him a packet of information on Celiac so he could brush up on how to diagnose patients.
Only you can be an advocate for your own health. You can't always trust doctors to have all the answers.

You might want to begin keeping a food diary. Write down everything that goes into your mouth and the approximate times that it does. Even write things down like medicines.
See if you can pinpoint anything that might be causing an aggrivation to your system.
Another option would be to post on here what you eat and folks can try to help you sift out the problem areas. People are very helpful on this site. Welcome and post often. There is a great wealth of information here.

bake one baking sheet at a time in the 350 deg. oven until cookies are puffed and slightly golden, but still soft to the touch. About 10 min.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet on a wire rack for about 5 min. Then transfer the cookies to the wire rack; let cool completely.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies
