  1. We have reduced the amount of detergent. thanks for the note on that. I have also did some research and I think it might be dairy. She has had a mild reaction to it. Otherwise thanks for all the help!!! I checked out the book Superimmunity at the library. Wow that was lots of info!!! I have added Flax seed oil to her diet and Calcium/Maganesum vitamins...
  2. I am looking for an national brand that has a gluten-free Teriyaki sauce. Is one available? I have been looking so far I have not come across one. Any suggestions?

  5. I called S&W this morning and they are all gluten-free. All their canned veggies are gluten-free. I am so happy to hear that!!! just thought others might want to know!

  7. I have been trying to contact ConAgra about them and have had no response. Does anyone know if they are gluten-free? What about canned beans in general? I usually buy S&W 50% less sodium kidney and black beans. Are they gluten-free? Please help...I have tried six times to cook dried pintos to make refried beans and can't get them right...so I...
  8. Taylor, Thanks for the aloe suggestion. I have seen a considerable decrease in the rash since she has been gluten-free but, as you have pointed out...not totally clear. I have been putting evening primrose oil on her eczema...and that seems to really help. This all is really interesting stuff. I wonder if we will ever really know what is wrong?...

  10. Wow! That is really interesting. I thought a while back that she might have problems with Polyester...so she is only wearing 100% cotton clothing. As for detergent...my husband does the laundry and he has "his" brands he will only use So that will be a challege. Otherwise I will read and research what you have given me. no eggs? I have noticed...

  12. THANK YOU to who ever posted that the HIENZ corp. has a gluten-free list. I recieved mine on Sat. and today (Sun) We had a gluten-free fast food like meal and my daughter LOVED it!!!!!! We had Delimax Chicken taquitos and Or-Ida shoestring french fries. I baked them (of course) to make them a little healthier. I was so thrilled!!!! Don't worry...
  13. You know I have to say the same thing!!! I was very frusterated with all the no gluten stuff. I wasn't going to try it for a while. (putting my daughter on it) But I posted in the DH area about my daughters condition. And because of another parent who's child had the same problems...it gave me courage and hope that I could do this. I have been so excited...
  14. Let me know if they do well for meatloaf. I only make my meatloaf with oats so, I haven't been making it. But if they work well in a meatloaf, I will try them. Thanks for telling us about the cookies! My daughter loves Oatmeal cookies. And of course can't have them now. Sounds great!!! What kind of recipe did you use? Was it just rice flour? mrsfish
  15. Oh they are so great!!! I made them the "eggless" way and I loved it. I made them for my Daughter who is on the gluten-free diet. But everyone in the house had no clue! My daughter had a playdate on Sat. and the little boy who came over was so thrilled with the cookies he took some home. (I made them cookie style) mrsfish
  16. Linda74 My son is allergic to egg. I use applesauce to replace my eggs. Only in baked goods. Otherwise, I use the Enger G egg replacer. I have had no trouble with it. What are you using it for?? mrsfish
  17. I am so glad!!!! I was so worried because I made a Grilled Cheese sandwich for my daughter last night...she hadn't had in a long time. And she was so thrilled with it!!! And then later I looked and saw vinegar (tofutti cheese) in it. My heart just dropped. She had loved it so much and ate EVERY bite. She loves grilled cheese sandwiches. I did also...
  18. I just called them and they said that they don't market it as gluten-free but, they do not add gluten to the recipes. Although they do have vinager in the product, and that they use distilled vinager. Which they have been told is ok for Celiacs. So I quess my question is .... Is Distilled Vinager gluten-free??? mrsfish
  19. I know this is a late reply...but I have been thinking of opening one myself. I am a cake decorator also. I thought I would have a store front that sold gluten-free items. Like a grocery store and then have a cafe inside to make and serve those items and meals. Then have the bakery and cake area. This way it would be a total gluten-free resource. ...

  22. This was the first gluten-free anything ...That I have baked. Except for the chicken nuggets. Those were cooked and came out still a little dusty. I figure that since I was using asian rice flour that, I need to not coat them so much with flour. Thanks for the info! mrsfish

  25. I made Bob's red mill---Sue's rice muffins. Only without the nuts and with egg sub. and thawed blueberries. They tasted so good! But they are sticking to the cupcake cup I used. I have the hardest time getting them off the paper. Does anyone have suggestions? I can only imagine what getting them out of a muffin tin would be like. mrsfish
