  2. So apparently Sutter Memorial has this high tech machine and Dr Davies suggested it for my son before I asked about it. So hopefully very soon we can do the hydrogen breath test. Until then he still needs to eat gluten... I just hate glutening him, lately he is doubling over in pain and refusing to eat!
  3. So all the bloodwork is negative except the antiglidian IgG, which the pedi gi thinks often gives false positives. Our next step is the hydrogen breath test.....my husband doesn't want our son to have the scoping....it's fustrating I want it done but he doesn't. I showed the doc my sons rash and she wasn't sure but she did mention about it going along with...

  7. I'll be going to SLC Utah mid march for a meeting. I haven't got the details of where exactally but was told the hotel will most likely be downtown or not too far from airport. I haven't started wheat free yet but if my tests come back abnorm I will be... so I need to know where I can safely eat? Janel

  11. from this company Sylvan Border Farms Open Original Shared Link The owner of the company was at a local Celiac group today and made her goodies. I really liked the lemon cake mix, the dark bread and the chocolate cake mixes She also made a cherry pie and the crust was from her all purpose mix which was very tastey too. I brought some samples home...
  12. maybe that is what she was talking about because she also mentioned her son is severely allergic to dairy. I must have confused the info she was giving. Either way thanks for the name of it.

  15. Wow I didn't realize that??? I know the nurse mentioned to me with my son's age it's pretty common to get false negatives. We just re-did the blood work yesterday and have an apt in 2 weeks with GI to discuss our plans. I kinda want to do the biopsy but if it's negative then yes I will wonder if it was true or not. I guess I will see what doc thinks about...

  17. My 3 yr old had a + anti-glidan IgG test (through GI) which I was told leaves him more as inconclusive as to whether he's celiac or not. So I ask the pediatrictian to test my other child and he said no let's wait. He says this because my older child has no GI symtoms, but hey wait I say she has severe excema. What do I do????? Do you think our pedi...
  18. what other condition could it be??? I also forgot to add this thyroid level was 6.7
  19. I am so confused.....I don't know the exact #'s for all the tests run but I do know that the anti glidian IgG was + (36 was the # and I was told less than 11 is negative). This test was done on a 3.5 yr old who has had atleast 1 or more wheat food items daily for the past several months. I requested a re-test of the celiac panel and the NP said oh it's...
  20. thanks everyone. He excema does bother her alot!!!! I often suspect it is more of a dairy allergy because the rash started at about birth when formula was introduced. I am planning on having the doc also run a celiac panel on her as well. Janel
  21. I will be sure to let her know along with my mother in law who has IBS as well. And I hate to sound harsh to her but I agree next time she asks for advise I will be blunt and tell her I have given you my advise and it's still the same.
  22. Ok so last summer/fall we had some natropath doc do non advasive muscle/nutrition response testing done. This doc recommended my 11 yr old go casein and wheat free. She was very upset and angry at me for not letting her eat normal food. We managed to be Gluten-free Casein-free for a short time and instantly we saw +++ changes in her. She has always had severe...
  23. Not that I know of. But my friend does have IBS and some food allergies like she's allergic to melon. Is IBS related to celiac or wheat intollerantcy?
  24. Anyone????????????
  25. thanks. I just have met other online people who basically bypass their medical insurence labs and pay out of pocket to other companies who specialize in allergy testing. We did have the celiac pannel run through our GI doc and the results are questionable so we are doing them again this week. I have no idea where our local lab send the blood to, I will ask...
