  1. My suggestions are: 1. You may need more time to heal and you may get sick to random foods just because your intestines aren't healed. 2. You may have intolerances to other foods in addition to gluten, the most common being lactose. Lactose can usually be re-introduced once the villi have been healed. 3. You may have developed food allergies. I took...
  2. McCormick will clearly indicate gluten. I use McCormick bouillion with no problems.
  3. I use McCormick boullion cubes. McCormick will clearly indicate gluten on the label if present.
  4. Looks tasty, thanks for sharing

Place bread on top of oil. Cook both sides for a few minutes. Break one egg on top of each slice and add salt and pepper. Cook for a few minutes, then flip and cook until done...
  7. I think that is a great idea!
  8. I'm glad you liked the soup
  9. I like Sterk's and Kinnikinnick.
  10. He may have a wheat allergy. Those symptoms sound severe. I suggest seeing an allergist. Allergies can get worse overtime. I have both celiac disease and a wheat allergy, plus many more allergies. I carry an epi-pen and I also carry benedryl. Most of my allergies can be almost 95% controlled with 3-4 teaspoons of liquid bendryl (an adult serving) and...
  11. I make my own dinner at home and bring leftovers. Can you request that there is no stuffing near or in the turkey so that you can have some?
  12. Parsnips sort of have their own unique flavour. Maybe a mix between a sweet potato and a carrot? I think smaller ones may taste better. I hope you like the soup recipe!
  13. I hope they quickly solve this problem for you. Thoughts and prayers.
  14. Do you eat or drink anything else there? I would guess cross contamination if you get sick every time you eat them or that your stomach doesn't like the oil.
  15. I got this recipe from the VH website: Chicken Wings with Thai Dipping Sauce As many chicken wings as you want 1/4 - 1/3 VH soy sauce (or other gluten-free sauce) garlic to taste pepper to taste Thai dipping sauce (I use VH) Combine soy sauce, garlic and pepper in a bowl. 16. Here is a link: Open Original Shared Link Yes, it can be like hot choclate. You can have it cold or warmed in the microwave. I like both
  17. Thanks for posting that
  18. I voted for being intolerant to gluten and casein. I have never tried pure gluten-free oats while on the gluten-free diet. When I first started having problems with dairy I had allergy testing done in 2003 and tested negative for milk allergy. Around the same time, I would eat diary with the maximum (or more) about of lactaid and still have a reaction...
  19. I haven't found any safe worcestershire sauce in Canada. You can find recipes in google, but I've never tried any of them.
  20. There is in Canada. Lea and Perrins is not gluten-free in Canada.
  21. That's very interesting, I never thought of it that way. Like you, I don't think if what I read was a study on the two proteins (It was just mentioned), but it would be interesting to see if there are studies done on this.
  22. If she has any favorite hobbies mabe buy her something related to that? For gifts, I tend to think "what would they really want, but would never go out and buy themselves?". Maybe she has an interest in photography but never had the money to buy a camera. For some people it's clothes (I don't think that applies to a 16 year old though ) For me...
  23. Well said Tiffany! I have never tried safe oats because I would be afraid that I would be one of the people that reacted to the protein. For example, my body started getting mad at milk around the same time that I got external symptoms with celiac disease and I have read that the milk protein is similar in structure to the gluten protein.
  24. She could be allergic to wheat, rye, barely, and oats. I have a wheat allergy which is separate from celiac disease, but I don't appear to be allergic to the others, which tells me that I am allergic to wheat and not gluten. It would be interesting to know if she was ever tested for celiac disease.
  25. Smarties in Canada are not gluten free, just like the Lea and Pearins worchester sauce
