  5. Which chain is it? I'll list ten things that I'd like to know in no particular order: 1. Are hands washed when handling gluten-free food? 2. Is there a seperate counter or designated area for gluten-free food? If not, is the area in which gluten-free food prepared thoroughly cleaned? 3. Are there seperate utentils, bowls, pots, or pans used for gluten...
  6. Thanks... Dove is safe, good to know. I'll look for Dove moisturizer when I go shopping.
  7. I'm just wondering which gluten-free moisturizers everyone uses on their face. The skin on my face is way too dry. I live in Northern Alberta where the temperature can get below -30!
  8. Have you been tested for food allergies?
  9. Wow... I think a lot of people eat those. That is just a perfect example to check labels every time.
  10. Here is the information I got from Planters a while ago: (I was hoping I could eat cashews or something since I just developed a peanut allergy). My e-mail: I have severe food allergies and I was wondering if any of your nuts come in contact with gluten or milk during the manufactoring process Their e-mail: Thank you for visiting Open Original...
  11. Thank you for the link. I am so confused about what caused my severe reaction. I may try and get ELISA tests done and hopefully I will have an answer.
  12. I've never heard that before. Planters really dusts their products with wheat? I used to eat planters until I got a peanut allergy.
  13. That information is very interesting. This research could answer a lot of questions. You've been doing a lot of research Rachel!
  14. Does anyone know if delayed IgG reactions can be anaphylactic?
  15. I am truly glad that you are feeling better now and have the energy to do other things. Three years is still such a long time to suffer. I hope you feel welcome here and please don't hesitate to ask questions.
  16. Seasoned Pot Roast 1 small roast 1 onion, cut into rings 3-4 potatoes, cut lengthwise 3-4 carrots, cut into large pieces 3-4 celery sticks, cut into large pieces 1 Tablespoon of olive oil 2 teaspoons of thyme 2 teaspoons of basil 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder pepper to taste Place onion on the bottom of a large pot. 17. Does anyone know why they are closing? I was there a few times in the middle of the afternoon when there was barely anyone there. However, they seemed to be always busy at night. Lunch time seemed busy too.
  18. Wow... That is really too bad Splitt was the ONLY restaurant that I would eat at and I never got sick. That place was amazing. In the evenings, you could barely find a place to sit! The last time I was there was in November. I really hope they re-open. I will e-mail the address. I moved to Northern Alberta in October, so my new postal code should...
  19. There would be a few options for you: Maybe you can avoid things (as best as you can) that are causing the allergies. To help prevent bacterial infections you could add foods that naturally fight bacteria into your diet such as garlic and onions. There are allergy shots that may help reduce the severity of symptoms.
  20. Welcome to the board!
  21. I had the biopsy done of the small intestine and I also had the blood test. The biopsy will just provide more evidence for or aganist celiac disease.
  22. I would think that that pure hebs with no additives should be fine as long as they aren't derived from wheat, barely, rye or oats.
  23. My reaction to gluten is sort of mixed in with my wheat allergy reactions so I find it hard to differentiate the two. These are the symptoms I believe are celiac related: Brain Fog Fatigue Anxiety Nervousness Insomnia Irritability Depression Gas Bloating Constipation and/or diarrhea Stomach pain (can be severe) Nausea
  24. I eat Thai Kitchen Spring Onion quite often with no problems (I am quite sensitive). I have also had the mushroom flavour before with no problems.
  25. Damage done to the villi in the small intestive due to gluten injestion can result in less nutrient and vitamin absorption. This may cause many problems such as hair loss. Your hair may be growing faster now because you may be starting to absorb higher amounts of nutrients and vitamins.
