  1. well i should jump in here and say wooooah nelly--- be prepared for the worst year of your life which will be the best year of your life (so far) i am self diagnosed with the help of the internet here. i need to find docs for everything and am totally terrified of getting anything else--like, say i need some dental work; well, how long will that mess...
  2. 'We do all share pots/pans/utensils/collanders, but everything gets washed in the dish washer.' i'm going to guess this is holding you back but not entirely your problem...ANY amount can mess you up; at least make you feel stuck in that inescapable rut. i was in your shoes 3-4 months ago--at 5 months in anyway; what made me feel like i could not get...
  3. i got to say i have no idea, but i thats one of those that i would tell myself "well i better not do that again" (i dont know how many times i said that though--especially to peanut butter) sorry, i take the medical explanations as a grain of sand and just pay attention to my bodies reactions--i don't seem to do well with anything in pill form these days...
  4. i had the worst case of candida known to man. it has been 6 months of gluten free with symptoms of candida still present i'll say. recently i had a major glutenening from rice puffs, cereal stuff; really set me back here. next thing i know i got strep, now i am quite sick. what i am wondering is if anyone thinks it might be a good or bad idea to go and try...
  5. i don't take meds---eexcept prilosec--wondering if i should stop that---all others gave me trouble, even probiotics eventually bothered me---oh but i don't want the flaming gut roaring up my esophagus again......
  6. i guess it depends on what kind of pain you are having. i found that different foods cause different kinds of pains. some burns, some burrows, some constricts, some contracts, some gets me all spiked in my bladder so i just pee and pee, while some itch, some bloat, some feel like they are going to burst my appendix!!!! i have not really had these things...
  7. i think you got to take a deeper look at things. there may be even ingredients within these foods you eat (unless you prepare them) if they are packaged stuff. i found that i do well with fish (just fish so far, and now figured out salt and a safflower that will work--mmmm tasty) that i buy from the organic store and not the stuf from Krogers which is frozen...
  8. what else did you eat with it?
  9. i agree.....you may want to lay out what you are eating for us; as well for yourself--and try rotating. this will get you better adjusted to how your body reacts to certain foods that you continually eat alone, by themselves. remember you don't just one day heal. it's pretty much that you figure out how to heal--by elimnating and adjusting levels of how much...
  10. yes leaky gut is very frustrating...which led me to meats and veggies only--now i am not so sure...i used to devour veggies and they really felt right and like what i needed and they seemed to work for the most part. made me afraid for quite some time now about carbs and sugars in general, avoiding at all cost. i think i had something that spun me for a loop...
  11. you know that is funny cuz most people have said that when i tell them about the urination problem. i have tested blood sugar levels using my step-father's glucometer (sp) a few times...a few years ago, should test myself again, that's all the doctor would do, test then have you eat then test again...but he should be kicked in the head cuz he does not know...
  12. yea thanks---no dairy. everytime i find something that actually provides energy i eat the store out of it; and it stops providing energy when i have an episode of who knows what obliterating me. i am beginning to wonder if i just don't accumulate and then my body can't hold it; like i don't ever get glutened as they say i just get intoxicated meaning not...
  13. i guess broadening could be fun. i'm so tired though of things sinking through and not being able to pinpoint; which is why i have been so narrow; it's easier to find the problems; maybe i listen to my body and if i eat it and it don't feel right the first time then i cut it immediately
  14. i always have cooked my veggies. i can't do fruits and though is does seem like something will work then it like builds up inside. i really don't look forward to trial and error i have so much already i just want one meal that works over and over
  15. i want to try all kinds of beans, legumes, lentils whatever to see how much they bother if at all i can't do fruit. makes me cold and tingly in extremeties. i'm going for nuts a little hesitantly because of the suffocate you allergic reaction scary thing. i have pretty much ruined myself on peanut butter last couple days, worked at first but i may have...
  16. crazy isn't it--i have not tried carrots or potatoes for a loooong time here. i know carrots having giving me problems but they were uncooked. i'm close to apoint where i have the confidence to try though and potatoes were a definite very soon in my plans. thanks for the site. i will research
  17. lettuce cauliflower cucumbers (prettty sure) there are ones i have not tried but of like the main ones...thats my list. everything manages to irritate in some way or another. is that strange or what. how am i supposed to get my vitamins? i'm thinking of trying beans...maybe nuts, as another source of food. or to broaden my diet here.
  18. it was not necessarily a cough like i was getting sick as it was i was getting choked up by something like i was having a reaction
  19. ever react to cigarettes i tried stuff new the sam day (Blackwing buffalo patties, called they said it is just meat...) but i was around my cousin all day at his house fixin stuff and i rememmber stopping to eat my meal i had brought along and half way through i got all choked and could not stop coughing it seemed. maybe not so much coughing as i was getting...
  20. that was what i was thinking. it seems all poultry is bothering me right now; but i have always been curious if the fact that animals are fed gluten how is it that we celiacs would be able to eat them. unfortunately i got to trial and error stuff again to see if it was bothering as well as the poultry. this is just disgusting
  21. well i have new pans that i got half way through going gluten free; i was just wondering if the platinum ones might be aggravating me, thats the one i use the most
  22. thats funny cuz i always get just breasts i have not even tried ones with skins for fear of them. i'm going to have to just try a new path here. then maybe go back; but the odd part of my system is how foods break me down. i'll get a good reaction out of something and next thing i know i just start slowly developing problems...this is all so screwy and quite...
  23. oh i have tried fish. ones at kroger i am unsure of. it's like i said before i don't know if these birds were messingme up causing other problems. my organic selections are slim there too
  24. i think i have tried every brand in my area. from organic to regular. even canned. well not everywhere, but all the organic--not too sure about trying like the meat market and this marketplace. i gues there is a lot of places i have yet to try but no organic outlets left.
  25. wow that's wild. i never thought it might come to that for me. i have heard people on requiring such special treatment. i'm not sure if that would work for me though; i have problems with all kinds, all different brands. i'm begninning to think it was my problems in the first place when i could not find healing no matter what. i'm just going to avoid it for...
