  1. Bless you for posting this! I am so tired of reading labels (I'm a newbie as well), this is very helpful!
  2. Supposedly the honey rice is gluten free. At least they advertise it as such on their website: Open Original Shared Link I still can't tell what is giving me problems since I have yet to be healed.
  3. It's wonderful to hear that they have books at the counters. I was worried about going to the store and having to pick a product, then go home and email Clinique and then go back to the store to buy it. That's a relief!
  4. You're not alone! I have much of the same symptoms (trying to be gluten free since 4/27) and am also wondering about casein and soy. I have decided to cut out the casein, but I'm holding on to soy for now. I will let you know if I figure anything out. Keep me posted as well!
  5. Okay, you may want to scratch the Nutty Flax. I just found this post on it. I'm still not feeling better so I can't tell what's doing it just yet. Open Original Shared Link
  6. I was just diagnosed on the 15th so I'm in the same boat. My weight seems to be jumping up and down slightly. I get SO hungry and lightheaded and foggy that sometimes I think I eat too much since eating seems to be the only cure. Then I barely eat anything because the way things are processing is not pleasant if you know what I mean. I can't wait to start...
  7. I recently emailed Clinique from their website about whether or not my lipsticks are gluten free and they responded in the same day. They wouldn't give me a full product listing, but they did tell me what was in the specific products I asked about. For anyone who uses the same colors, this was their response: Long Last Lipstick - Bamboo Pink contains triticum...
  8. I have been reading books on celiac disease and none of them have mentioned Nioxin. So that is very helpful! Of course the books I have been reading are cook books. Thanks again. That is very helpful. This is a great forum!
  9. I have been reading, but it seems that I learn something new everyday. I never would have thought to get new wooden spoons or a new toaster. And I especially wouldn't have thought that my make-up could have gluten in it! I now have an excuse to buy new things for the kitchen! My baking cabinet and cookbooks are covered in flour. I wish I could get new cabinets...
  10. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your advice. I will calm down and stick to the dairy and gluten for now. I am so thankful that this is normal and I don't need to watch everything else as well. I was just starting to feel better (mentally) until I started to question other allergens. I am positive again! Thanks!
  11. Thank you so much for posting this! I planned to go on a cruise at the end of this year and was feeling sorry for myself when was recently diagnosed thinking that it would be a hassle to travel. I can't wait to tell my husband! Has anyone had a good experience with Celebrity Cruise lines? I like Royal Caribbean, but would prefer Celebrity if they are just...
  12. I was diagnosed with celiac disease on Tuesday 5/15/07. I started the gluten free diet right after my final blood test on 4/27/07. I am feeling better, but still have symptoms and some days are significantly worse then others. I am very paranoid about hidden glutens and am starting to wonder if I am also allergic to something else as well. Is this normal...
  13. I was just diagnosed as well on 5/15/07 and was very depressed when it finally sunk in. A friend of mine told me something positive that helped. He said, "Just think, you are going to feel better then you have ever felt in your life!" Whether that is true or not, it is nice to believe it. Though the diet is VERY overwhelming (especially with hidden glutens...
