  1. Emily . . . Thomn and Paddee have got it covered . . . couldn't agree more . . . not touchin' that fone wif a 10 foot poo-pickin' toothpick pole. From me mum: If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33.00 today...
  2. The flu mist does not have mercury. You can also request a mercury (all preservative?) free shot. I don't believe you would be able to just pop in somewhere and get it though . . . probably would have to be scheduled through your doc so they can order it in and administer it within a certain time frame. Shay, I'm sure you didn't mean it this...
  3. Someone's been takin' her Omega-3!!! Why don't you just wear what you've got on in yer av?? . . . or did you wear that at the last classy event that you went to?? . . . in which case, just change it up a bit and add a shawl and different shoes.
  4. Has it just been a blood test so far?? If she hasn't seen the GI yet, he may want to do an endoscopy in which case, she should stay on a regular (gluten filled) diet until she's had all her testing completed. Cheerios are out . . . there is a gluten free version called PerkyO's but we didn't care for them (we not much on regular cheerios either ...
  5. Well . . . there goes the new job . . . he wouldn't be able to leave the house . . . too . . . . . . busy.

  7. . . . and she's was fiddlin' wif me post!!! . . .
  8. Enterolab does not (and can not) diagnose Celiac. They diagnose gluten intolerance even if your daughter truly is Celiac.
  9. *snort* OK . . . follow-up question on the Omega-3 . . . what dosage are ya given 'em?? I've started Smack on some Omega-3 about a week and a half ago but I just noticed the bottle says two (gummy fish ) Then I tried to google it yesterday and I was getting all kinds of numbers for recommended dosage. I'm kinda likin' the Quisp and...
  10. *snort* Yeah . . . that happened offline . . . go look for it, it's in one of yer emails . . . . . . Mostly it's so I can call em sumptin . . . but not their reaaaaaaaaaalllll names cuz we (read hubby) don't want their reaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll names on da web. I got input from the usual suspects and this is what they came up wif.
  11. I understand you want to get on the road to healing ASAP, but if you are going to do anymore testing, she needs to stay on gluten. One day (today) isn't going to make a difference so don't worry about today. It's unlikely that you can get into a GI quickly but you never know. As soon as you have her test results in hand, I would call the GI's office and...
  12. I sure hope that's yer husband in that costume!!!
  13. Peter, I keep thinking you're Emily when I see your av.
  14. . . . and now that I've got you here long enought to answer my question (I hope) I'll add . . . We sure do miss you!!! . . . But understand that you may be a tad busy. Keepin' you and da boyz in me thoughts & prayers.

  16. Here's the Chex Muddy Buddies' recipe Open Original Shared Link She can even do most if not all of this one!! (Rice Chex are gluten free)
  17. I send mac&cheese in the thermos (food jar) and that goes over well with my kids. You could do chicken nuggets, too (we like the Bell&Evans brand) but I'm not sure if they would stay crispy . . . I'm guessing not but I haven't tried it. How about tacos? Send the taco meat in the thermos and have tostitos for scooping and some shredded cheese to...

  20. True . . . I had to go take a second look . . . she's had braces, the cigarette isn't lit and there are no stains on the shirt. Also, hair coloUr variation appears natural (no screaming roots but perhaps under the flourescent lights??) I do like the roll of toliet paper on the bed, though.
  21. Just guessing . . . at home she's doing well . . . but with her friends??? I think at that age, kids just want to "look" normal. I would help her research some foods (and she's old enough to get involved and learn to help herself) that she can get at the fast food restaurants. The stuff she can get out of a vending machine or at a convenience store . ...
  22. Twas not me . . . but Smack and Skeeter were quarrelling last night. Perhaps it was her. Should I ask her???

Re: So this morning, shortly after I discovered that Smack had pink eye and called him in sick (he missed a field trip) and called meselph in sick (boss wasn't too happy but she's a mom, she understands) and made an appt wif the ped doc, Smack's eye started looking a little better!! So I sez to him I sez "That eye better start getting red again...
  24. OK . . . we're back . . . had to take pink-eye son with me . . . kept telling him not to touch anything. He did great (just played his Nintendo DS the whole time). It was about an hour and 10 minutes.
