    Before my daughter was diagnosed, decorating sugar cookies was my "thing". I did it a little on the side for friends/acquaintances. I have turned down several jobs because I won't have something in my house that my daughter would obviously want and she can't have. (Dad's frosted miniwheats are OK because he is the only one who EVER wanted to eat them....

    Just wanted to let you know, I found Cherrybrook Kitchen Mixes at a local (Indiana) SuperTarget. They had the gluten-free sugar cookie and gluten-free choc chip cookie mixes.     Absolutely agree . . . bean flours taste and smell nasty before baking. I almost threw out the first batch of choc chip cookies (it used soy bean flour - and not even that much) because the dough tasted so bad. However, the end result was great! And funny, since I wasn't eating any dough, I had a lot more cookies! Bread (with bean flour) is a different...

    Nice poetry Amanda! Having a bit of a blah day here. (No Susie, not a triple blah, just blah). I have spent the whole stinkin' day waiting for the handyman guy to come. Now the kids will be getting off of the bus in about 20 minutes and I didn't get any errands run. Plus, I don't know what it is but I've been waking up every night at about 4:00am....

    Well, since you've got a head cold, it might not be so bad . . . other than the sheer labor involved! Of course, he doen't really wear much, does he? Skimpy shorts and a tank top.     Ask your daughter what she is missing the most . . . she saw her friends and classmates eating something that she would have liked to have had.     Thought I would bump this up and add my story . . . Traditionally, in the cul-de-sac that I live on, we have a Halloween pitch-in. It's hot dogs, chips, a little fruit and veggies and cookies and such. Everybody eats and then the dads take the kids out trick-or-treating and the moms sit in the cul-de-sac and hand out candy. About 8 families participate...

    Juliem - did you make these? These are a Christmas tradition for us as well. Had recently wondered what I was going to do. I always used the frozen Rhodes dough. I've never used the Pamela's amazing bread mix. Is it "solid" enough to shape into balls?
